All Units and Mechanics of OvN Lost Factions: Fimir

The OvN Lost factions team have released another fully developed faction for Total War: Warhammer 3, so let's take a look at OvN lost factions: Fimir. This is a mod that adds an entire faction to the game, the Fimir, with it's own roster and mechanics. The roster is of course full of different Fimir units that previously only had 2 units in the Norscan roster, but also a bunch of awesome swamp monsters and weird daemons. They also got two Legendary lords that play very differently and a custom tech tree.

Appriciate these vids. Dont think any of the 'bigger names' done anything like this for OvN, so its neat. And compared to WH2 Fimir, where they pretty much only had Fimir units, this seems way more expanded and fun.

I tried them out a bit in WH2, but it was a while ago so I don't remember their roster. But so far in WH3, both Albion and Fimir is some of their best work compared to their WH2 mods (which was great too btw).

@@lazygrouse I didnt mock too much around with OvN personally. Map felt a bit too crowded with them in Wh2. I did play them as 'subraces' I think, Chaos Dwarf roster for Chaos, and Amazons for Lizardmen. Also seen Albion and Araby in other ppl's games, and a bit of Fimir. Not that they looked bad, but balance... wasnt really a thing haha, and they also werent very stable. I understand they arent as undercooked now. Which does mean Im likely to try at some point. OvN and Cataph do the best faction mods out there, from what I heard. Southern Realms became ready for WH3 recently. Id love to play and put them into my games. Theyre pretty unique, and as AI, wont go around on a massive rampage as some modded civs tend to haha.

@@Grivehn They can absolutely overcrowd a bit if you play with all of them so I usually only have the one I'm playing added to the game. But they have definitely stepped up their game. Yeah, I heard about the southern realms. I never got around to playing them in WH2 but I've heard good things about it so I'm definitely going to have to try them soon.

Absolutely! I already did one for their Albion mod and I'll make more as they make more. I've made a lot of this kind of video for SFO 2 and plan on making faction overviews for SFO 3 soon as well.

Very fun faction to play. The technology tree is a little overpowered which will make the campaign start to feel easier over time, so you should maybe bump the difficulty higher than you usually play if you don’t want to get bored in the late game.

I have been exploring some mods lately. I must say. There is a lot of interesting ones. So much work done by community, it's mind-boggling! First Legendary Lord spell selection..2/10 for me. Mere fact she was given two low damage low piercing cone spells. Just no. Even with spell intensity, this is a huge no from me. Second one - way better. 10/10 choice of spells. You want spells in second tier to be decent and impactful. I also find the fact they added Little Wagh caster..just completely out of flavor. Why would you do that? Those gods exist in the Warp, but they don't work together. Maybe that's why Fimir they were forgotten, cause they displeased Chaos Gods by allowing Gork&Mork worship? Pretty cool rooster and art.

Stream of corruption is 100% AP so one low AP and one high AP.
