Oh yeah, I'm a big fan of ruby grapefruits - the aroma, the puckering sourness, the bright colour. All of it. Love 'em. Sometimes, when I'm feeling a little down, I grate some ginger and sprinkle cayenne pepper on top of grapefruit segments and it's instant cheer. And hurrah for club-sized bags of frozen broccoli (I get it).
Another awesome haul video with lots of yummy 😋 whole plant foods. Grapefruit isn't one of the citrus fruits i eat a lot of so I don't love or hate because I will eat it occasionally. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Meg & Family.
Thanks David! I'm like that with oranges. I like them and eat them from time to time, but I don't buy them very often. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! 😊
I LOVE grapefruit. Ruby Red especially but either will do. Super yummy. I also love broccoli and broccoli slaw. I add the slaw to sandwiches, salads and stir fries. When the weather is pretty warm I buy the blue bottles of Montellier carbonated spring water. I love the grapefruit and lemon flavours. I also squeeze lemon juice into an ice cube tray that has very small round ice cubes and I add a couple of these to the spring water. Sorry to hear about the injury to your shoulder. Here's to a speedy recovery 😊.
Yay for grapefruit and broccoli! 🙌 Ooh, I haven't tried Montellier, we usually go for bubly or lecroix. I'll have to check those out! I've blended lemon into ice cubes, but never juiced them into cubes before. That's a great idea! Grapefruit and lime ones would be yummy too! 😋 Thanks Janice. My shoulder is slooowly getting better. ❤️
Happy to hear your shoulder is healing. Yes, try the Montellier. Very refreshing and only $1. Here on the island. The lemon juice ice cubes are really practical in summer drinks or anything that requires a little lemon.
@@janicehall3262 Thank you Janice! I'll definitely try the Montellier; and I think the lemon cubes would be wonderful in so many different ways - water, sparkling water, tea or iced tea, homemade jam, and more! Thanks for the tip! 😊
Years ago the dessert tofu was popular here in the US but now it’s harder to find. I remember the mango one tasting like a mango lassi and enjoying it after a spicy curry dish. I want to say the other flavor was strawberry but the almond sounds interesting. If you don’t care for it try blending it into a smoothie or chocolate mousse. 😊
Ooh, I love mango lassi! 😋 I'm hoping we really enjoy the tofu desserts as they are, but I figure I can find another way to use them if we don't care for them. Adding them to a smoothie or mousse is a great recommendation! Thanks for the tip! 🙌😊
Hi Meg. Nice haul. I'm curious about those tofu deserts. I have never seen anything like that so I'm wondering what it tastes like. Once again I've got to compliment Ry's artwork. I love children's artwork for some reason. I love the purple hair on you. It seems to fit with your personality (what I know of your personality watching your videos, that is.) I hope you and your family are well. I've taken a break from things myself.
Thanks Linda! We haven't tried the tofu desserts yet, but I'll keep you posted. Thank you for complimenting Ry's artwork and my hair. Ry loves to draw and paint and it makes us happy to have his artwork up around the house. I'm having fun experimenting with my hair, and the purple is fun for now. Hope you are doing well too! Thanks for watching! 😊❤
Love grapefruits and dates too! I like to buy organic broccoli (my dog loves it too!) and place "cheez" sauce over a large plate of it for dinner! :) My daughter lives in Vancouver so I do appreciate you sharing where you find "deals" on food as the prices are nuts these days! All the best to you from Kelowna! :)
