Hey Steve: Just stumbled onto your channel. Have a great time travelling up North. Are you going all the way up to Cape Reinga? If so, then I hope you check out the stunning pure white silica sandy beaches on the East coast such as Topotupotu Bay, Matai Bay, Henderson Bay, Rarawa beach, and Spirits Bay. Most of them have DOC (Department Of Conservation) campsites which are free. I also recommend checking out the Te Paki sand dunes, 90 mile beach, and Tane Mahuta at Waipoua forest. It should be on everyone’s bucket list to visit the waterfalls in the areas that they visit: In Paihia and Kerikeri there are several including Haruru waterfalls, Rainbow falls, Charlies Rock, and Te Wairere. On your way back to Auckland, you can stop off at Whangarei and check out Whangarei falls and track up to the summit of Mount Manaia to get a good view of the township and Whangarei heads. All of these activities are free. Do you have a drone? It would be great to get some aerial shots of these places.

Air con tip: Turn the gadget that changes the air flow from 'blowing into face' to 'blowing into body' and 'blowing into windscreen' etc, play around with it, let the air con blow at different angles for a while, then turn it back to the original position. I tried this in my car and it worked as my air con also isn't working properly. Hope this trick works for you too.

Hey! That's the fun of roadtrip right? I went on a island wide roadtrip in iceland with friends, got into 2 major accidents and all our plans were totally mess up BUT never regret the trip. And the incidents and the bill that came with it was the highlight of the trip after so many years later.
