IMO VoicePlay has more imagination than any other a cappella group.

When I watched the version they sing Stranger Things I was totally speechless with that deep note Geoff made

My guess on Sandman is that the google eyes part is Layne's dream. They're singing straight, he starts to nod off, there's that crazy noise and he pulls himself "awake" and it's all crazy after that....

You know that Geoff actually use to beatboxes, he’s the one that taught layne to beatbox when the old beatboxer left 😮

You need to see Geoff's video on how he does his arrangements. It's a lot of work. A lot.

Haha, loved your reaction! These mini’s often get overlooked, which is unfortunate because they’re soooo good! One small thing - on Stranger Things, he’s saying “Eggo,” not “hello.” 😁

On Stranger Things, Layne uses the inverse phonation technique, which is the fancy way of saying inhaled note. Geoff has demonstrated on his channel why he doesn't (or can't) do it. He looks distinctly uncomfortable trying it, so anytime you hear inhaled notes, its Layne. Glad to see you remembered to dress before tackling any VP these days! Thanks for giving the minis air and appreciation!

Yoo Qofi, if you didn't catch in the stranger things theme, Geoff was doing overtones in the first seconds, so Geoff can sing high, super low, and can do overtones.... this man isn't human

I have to admit that in the horror medley Layne freaked me out the most. I expected Geoff to be evil but Layne's voice is so soft and gentle, usually, and then he does Hannibal Lector and it gave me the chills. *shudder On Stranger Things and Layne's inhale note--he's actually hit A0 doing that (end of Sh-Boom) and that's one note lower than Geoff's record.
