And yeah, if Geoff's voice was ever recreated in the form of a rollercoaster at a theme park, I'm pretty sure people would die. That rollercoaster would be a Health & Safety officer's worst nightmare!

I loved how you guys pantomined Geoff's high to low note - that was fun! My favorite part about the sword lighting strike is that they sang "hoist the colors..." but did not sing "high," rather the sword was raised high instead. Genius!

Just imagine being a merchant crew sailing through the fog thick as the boards you stand on, then, from the thundering dark white you heard Geoff’s rumbling growl and eli’s haunting cries begin following you, coming closer. The very best example of his crazy range is probably in The Oogie Boogie Song, where he does a run from a C6 (if i remember what i note matched it to right…) to an E0 (might have been an F0 its hard to tell through youtube quality my speakers, and at that harmonic range) in about 5 seconds with emphasized “footholds” smoothly transitioning each 2 octave jump as if he were swooping a butterknife through sunwarmed butter.

This is one of my fave Qofy reactions now, the infectious joy all of us experience showing someone the amazingness that is Voiceplay just right here between friends. Love it

It's the same singing quintet with Bucky as the drunken soldier. Bucky was a member of 4:2:Five before it became VoicePlay. He's now working with Disney World as a voice actor.

This is my favorite Voice Play video, although there are many others that are way up there for me. This one blows me away every time. The harmonies, ascending and descending arpeggios, counterpoint, drama, emotion, etc. Sheer beauty and amazement.

It's amazing that their original collaborator wasn't able to make it to the filming, so Eli quickly re-recorded as tenor 1 (from tenor 2) and Jose saved the day and stepped into Eli's original part. They are all amazing!! And that epic moment with the sword held high, that was all Jose, they watched the replay and VP saw it and was ecstatic. Jose is the perfect captain. Any of them would be great, Halo, Dragonborn Comes... all of them please!

QoFy, Thank you both for the best reaction to Voice Play ever. The two of you are so much fun together. As many times I watched this video you have pointed out so many things I missed. Keep in doing what you do best. ....Cesar can actually sing as high as Eli just not in a rocker voice. Eli has also filled in the bass line for Geoff at times while Geoff is singing. Layne actually has a wider range than Geoff if you count his inhale notes.

It is easy to forget that they are doing it a capella. They are in a league of their own. Geoff has been down to an A0. If he gets any lower he'll fall off the end of the pinao, or we won't ve able to even hear him. His rumbling bass notes are as impressive as his vocal bass guitar sounds. Their arrangemesnts are out of this world. Stunning. Lovely to see someone with experience of choral work appreciating the blend of voices. Maybe that's another reason I love them so much, having sung in chours or in harmony so much in my youth. And yes Castellucci is an Italian name. He is of Italian descent, and so is his wife Kathy. And yes it's very hard to choose one to recommend.

I've listened to this song practically every day since it came out. I listen to it on repeat in my sleep every night (except when I'm out of town-long story). And the video STILL gives me goosebumps! And every other night for about four hours, I listen to "Valhalla Calling" before sleep. And funny thing, I'm wearing "bathing suit" shorts that match yours in your first reaction to "Hoist The Colors!"

This is my favorite song to introduce people to VoicePlay. You get Geoff's war horn, Cesar's ethereal falsetto, rock god Eli, Layne's crazy eyed baritone, and their signature phenomenal costumes, set, and lighting. This and Valhalla, except I think Valhalla would break people. It's hard to top Geoff's B0. You need to EASE people into that.

I love seeing people react to VoicePlay. But seeing someone, who already knows the power of these guys, showing someone else how awesome they are is wonderful. Qofy I just discovered your channel and boy am I glad I did! One of my favorite reactors now. I will tell you, I see a reaction video of 25+ minutes and usually I cringe because that means the reactor just loves to hear their own voice, pauses all over on every little thing they hear. YOU however, are pure gold, I love it. You pause to react to what you are hearing, usually with joy and amazement. I've watched a few of yours now, and this one is the best, showing your bro the joy of a new group and having him experience it with you. And you both know your stuff, and you add a fair amount of technical to the discussion, but you are doing that to enjoy the experience, and I love it.
