In my experience local councils ignore local people when it comes to planning. In the minutes of meetings they cite their obligations to the Govt National Planning Framework and just rubber stamp the obliteration of green fields. Where I live the empty land for an old disused power station is left as rubble while the surrounding arable farmland is sold off and built on. Over 1000 houses in the last few years and civil engineers surveying fields in neighbouring areas. It was previously land for orchards, rapeseed, onions, cabbages, etc.

The people of this country needs to be listed too. Politicians are doing their own thing. The only party who is listening is REFORM. Boris Johnson listened to the people and got Brexit through but the idiots in government failed to implement it.

We need leaders to run the country who are not afraid of the polls and are committed to change and looking after the people who live here.

The super majority than is expected by Labour will be more to do with our inequitable voting system than the impact of Reform on the Tories. How will Labour expect to command respect and magnanimous acceptance of the election result if their massive majority is won on a minority vote, or to put it another way, most people will not have voted for them. I voted for Brexit because we were never treated as Europeans, we still pay far more for new cars, fruit, wine , fuel cigarettes etc etc etc. So why be members of a club that excludes us from gaining a cheaper lifestyle ?
