I eat cheap, but great when I'm in Paris! I hit up the corner store for some drinking yogurt, a baguette and a pâté de canard. I pick a nice bench or spot to people watch as I enjoy the grub, then go splurge on some gelato

@@erindemay2858 Thank you ! I'll note that there are 4 restaurants named "La Verrière" in Paris, but this one is in an hotel called Hotel Niépce. It is the sunday brunch and the price is 75€/person, 45€ for children, from 12h to 15h30 (except in august, when it is closed, like so many things in Paris during that month, so if you are planning to visit, avoid august), according to the hotel website.

It was really interesting seeing you eat through both buffets, as you're frequently eating some form of Asian cuisine that you're very familiar with and this was at least a little out of your wheelhouse. Like you said, "... so many things I don't recognize and wanna put in my mouth."

at a buffet, i personally sneak corndogs into the buffet so others can enjoy them. I hide 6 corndogs in my jacket pockets. it then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the establishment eat my corndogs thinking they were part of the buff

Mike, the pinkish sauce with the whelk is mignonette sauce. A classic French sauce for oysters. Shallots, vinegar and pepper.

As daft as this may sound, it true. Whenever I travel to France. Regardless of Visiting the City, countryside, or seaside there is one food item I gravitate to every single time. A dime hot ham and cheese sandwich. When something is so simple but satisfying and done well in every way you keep coming back to it. I know Frances is beyond a Gourmand's paradise and the food Mecca( no disrespect intended) to many. However sometimes you just want simple, satisfying, perfection. For me personally it is that sandwhich..
