My sisters like to joke about me eating the whole kitchen when we do all you can eat. We went out for sushi and AYCE was $35 so I ordered 4 hand rolls, 7 sashimi, and almost 10 sushi and still had room for soup at the end. Separately my order would have been over $100 but I felt it was a great deal! It was super fresh as well! If you're ever in Las Vegas you should try a place called SeaSalt Sushi & Oyster!!
HELLOOOO and many thanks for watching the video!! Generally speaking, sushi prices differ a lot depending on the fish that’s used on top. But with an all-you-can-eat, you don’t need to think about the price 😉 hehe
I think it's a tactic on the wait time, especially in Japan all-you-can-eat restaurants have time limits. The $13-$15 lunch choices look great for the price! You would have to eat at least 50 pcs of sushi (very high quality ones, btw) to have a good deal of $40 all-can-eat price.
@@TokyoFoodieSarah Late chime in to say yes, the longer you wait while eating, the longer your brain has to realise you're full, therefore leaving you eating less, so almost definitely a bit of a strategy by them.
That's what I'm thinking too. It's a good idea but the price point is out of touch with kaiten sushi averages. I'm convinced there's a way to make the business math side of it work though.
Oh boy, the famous All you can eat Sushi! I can't tell you how many times I've eaten all you can eat sushi buffet when I had a 3rd job. They were so addicting to eat!
The look on her face with the last piece. I've been there so many times. Whole you're chewing that last mouthful and just know that you can not handle one more grain of rice lol. But I'm so jealous. I think I could put down at least 3 plates there. It all looked absolutely amazing.
That looked really delicious~ makes me jealous and now craving for sushi. I probably could manage around 40 peices aswell. Looking forward to more videos in the future~
OMG. Sarah, Sarah, Sarah! You & I would have so much fun competing with each other in that place. I spent 11 years in Japan, and sushi was the first Japanese meal I had there. I fell in love immediately. In fact, if sushi is the last meal I have on this earth, I will die a happy man. Thank you for sharing.
Not a sushi fan myself. However, having worked in a butcher shop with a side fish/crustacean counter, I can appreciate the necessity for freshness. Happy you had a good experience.
Hi Sarah! I love all your videos. I’m going to Tokyo in a few weeks and if I can only choose one all you can eat sushi, which one would you recommend, Hina or Sushi academy?
I can have 8 plates full at all you can eat buffets. They wouldn't like having me there. This is the first of your videos I've seen and I already loved it. Unagi is one of my favorite sushi and the shellfish you didn't know how to pronounce is ABBA-low-knee. It's a great shellfish.
I just come across your channel and absolutely love it! For me I don't really enjoy sushi but I love the look of it which is very saddening I wish I did 🥺
Damn you can ate a lot of sushi! For me I can only take about 15 is my comfort zone. If I'm really hungry maybe I can eat 20. Love watching your videos. You go girl ciayooooo
I am drooling. I lived in Phoenix, Tuscon, and San Diego. I loved the food scene there. Now, I live in Michigan.A smaller, but very nice place. It just isn't the metro that I could find everything.
If I may ask, is there a "right" amount of soy sauce to use with sushi? Or is it just up to personal preference? Do you use different amounts with different types of sushi?
It's really up to personal preference! Though a lot of people say don't too much soy sauce that it overtakes the taste of the sushi itself! I've never heard of anyone controlling the amount of soy sauce depending on the type of sushi 😂
Awesome video Sarah. I'm a first time subscriber and enjoy watching these type of content video's. You are very pretty. Have a nice day. Aloha from Kansas
Hello Sarah. Great video. Does Hina Sushi still have this offering since this video was a year ago? We plan on arriving to Tokyo in early March. Also, do you start to see sakura flavored desserts and food in early March to celebrate sakura viewing in late March/early April? Thank you for your information.
I checked Hina Sushi’s website and yes they still offer all you can eat sushi! In terms of Sakura flavored food, you can start seeing them now already 😂 I hope this helps!
just found your channel and subscribed! it is a dream of mine and my partner to travel to japan one day and visit a bunch of food places, sushi is definitely on our list!! and I'm taking notes, keep up the great uploads
I remember once there was a Sushi Restaurant which had color coded Plates for different prices. But also a All you can eat. Me and some of my friends went there and only ate the stuff from the most expensive plates. Each one of us had like tripple the value in the end^^
Great video Sarah, the sushi looked delicious. You are correct, amaebi is sweet shrimp sushi. What is your favorite tuna sushi? Maguro, chutoro, toro, or oo-toro??
I went to the branch in Ueno when I was in Tokyo for holiday, last week. The wait time for the chef to serve the sushi order was quite long. And some sushi were not available. We were a table of 4 pax. So a plate serves 20 pieces of sushi. Divided by 4 persons. 1 person can only have 5 bites of sushi. And a long wait again. I suggest patrons planning to go. To play strategy. Book seatings per 2 pax instead. Then, you get served more sushi. 20 pieces divide 2 persons, each one get 10 pieces at one order. When I mention it’s a long wait to be served your order, it is indeed a long wait up till 25 mins.
My first time watching your video! I liked how you devoured so much sushi 🍣 😍 I do eat a lot but I don't know if I can eat this much especially hand rolls being so huge. Anyway, I really liked your video so I subscribed 💓 I'm Japanese living in near Detroit. Looking forward to your next video😊
That was impressive and those pieces were pretty generous! I weigh about 73 kg and I probably will be able to eat 20 pieces at most even if I was starving. Lol.
Its a clever idea, and the set meals seem totally legit, but I question if i personally could eat enough to make the all you can eat option worth it though 😂. Looks tasty enough though.
This was a great video! Thank you for sharing. I do plan to visit Tokyo one day and being able to see first hand what it's like is amazing. I find that for me and sushi, especially AYCE places, I tend to stick to sashimi depending on the price range. $40 is definitely pushing it imho.
Woman and I do the AYCE sushi every year watching the Super Bowl. 4 hours and beer and a big screen tv with the game on and you can end up eating a lot of sushi!
I am a first time viewer. It's nice to hear an Asian person that speaks English. It feels good to know that I do not have to fast read evethything your saying.
Love the channel, been recently watching a bunch of your episodes and they are great. One thing I was curious about this episode, I was under the impression when you eat nigiri, you are supposed to dip the seafood not the rice into the soy sauce or is that a myth?
I think you should've counted the rolls by the bites bc 1 sushi is like 1 bite to you so if you bite the roll like normally you could count every bite as sushi (that's my opinion)❤️
