I want to go to France and get treated rudely in restaurants right now… I love this channel.

I seriously only watch these videos to just listen to your conversation. Switching from Korean to French to English and others is always fascinating. Me and my wife are learning Italian to do this very thing.

Your wife is adorable, I love the interaction between you both. There's an old English saying... "Like two peas in a pod". You are able to make the most pleasant and memorable moments together in a situation most people would sooner forget. It's enjoyable and entertaining. Never in my life have I seen a server pour only one glass of wine and then walk away, or put down a bottle, not open it, and then walk away. It's bonkers 😅

As a French, I'm baffled by the service.... not opening the bottle of wine, not pouring your glasses, only pouring your wife's glass on the first bottle & the server saying he only gets a couple of dozens & limited bottle of wines per year ??? What the hell is this ? I truly admire your patience & I'm very sorry for your experience.

I know this restaurant and the owners are a bit weird. I prefer Le Lauracée just next to them or Le relais 50 the other side of the Vieux-port.

As a German I think the Waiter was very rude, I´ve never seen something like this here in Germany. I also wonder what´s up with their Wine menu? Seems like 90% isn´t in stock. They should change their menu or do daily menus to chose from.

그간 오랫동안 봐 오다가 드디어 댓글을 남깁니다. 두 분이 함께 진행하시니 훨씬 좋아요. 한국어, 프랑스어, 영어를 넘나들며 대화가 오가는 것이 정말 멋있게 느껴져요. 혼자서 다니시던 모습을 많이 봤었는데 물론 그 영상들도 좋았지만, 사실 최근에 함께 나오시니 재미가 두 배가 되었어요. 서울에서도 출연하신 것도 마찬가지고요. 역시 추임새처럼 주고 받는 대화가 있어야 재미가 더 있는 것 같네요.😅

언어에 정말 소질 없다고 생각해서 영어도 포기한 제가 와인킹님 영상을 보고 언어와 와인을 공부해서 해외여행을 가고싶단 생각을 하게 되었어요. 아이 셋이 아직 너무 작고 소중해서 여행은 나중에야 가게 되겠지만, 16개월짜리 막둥이가 중학생이 되면 아이들 다 데리고 해외 어느 식당에서 그 나라 언어로 유쾌하게 음식을 시키고 옆 테이플 사람들이랑도 일상적인 대화를 해보고 싶어요.^^ 우리 애들이 엄마 멋있어! 라고 할 수 있게 천천히 조금씩 지치지 않게 욕심 부리지 않고 열심히 해야겠어요^^

이 영상보고 오해 하실 분들이 있을까봐 쓰는 글인데 외국에서 손님들이 지켜야할 메너가 한국보단 조금 강한게 맞지만 사람사는데 다 비슷해요 이 식당은 불친절하다 못해 무례한겁니다 어떤사람들은 몰라서 가기도 하고 어떤 사람들은 그걸 감수하고도 그 식당을 가기도 합니다 저 같으면 저 식당에서 주문하다가 매니져 불러달라고 말하고 말안통하면 바로 일어납니다 손님이 왕이라서가 아니라 서로 존중해야하는겁니다 저 사람은 손님이 말하고 있는와중에도 휙하고 가버려요 정말정말 무례한 사람이고 저런식당들 많이 없어요 그러니 걱정하지마시고 여행 하시면서 이 영상을 보고 이건 인종차별아니야, 그냥 불친절한 사람이여 하고 참으실까봐 글써요 내돈내고 내가 왜 저런 취급을 받아야 합니까? 저런 식당은 절대 가지마세요 그리고 잊지마세여 여러분들이 지불하는 금액엔 서비스에 대한 비용도 포함되 있는겁니다.

Sorry if this is a long comment, but I watch a lot of "fast" content in RU-vid and theres a lot of RU-vidrs i subscribed to where I tend to skip or lose that engagement even though its "fast content". But your content is amazing, I just love how you show your thought process on wine (dont even drink wine) or your thoughts on this dishes (dont eat this sort of food) and the polite critique of the restaurant the staff. But overall I love how you communicate with your partner and just comes up with random topics to dicuss. As someone who is recently married I just think this content is pure gold. I definetly learn alot just how you communicate with people and the partner, so genuine and classy but natural. I hope you get the chance to visit outside Europe would really love your insights.

The male waiter was intimidated that you knew more about wine then he did. Most people do not have the self-confidence, and or humility, to accept the fact that people know more than them. That and the fact that he was embarrassed because everything you were asking for he didn’t have.

Your videos have really helped me understand French etiquette and behavior. I always used to feel like everyone was staring or judging me, ignoring me, etc. But it's not that it's also because I never learned how to properly and respectfully interact with French people. Also that its a phenomenon amongst all French people, not just tourists, that customer service isnt the best especially with servers. Next time I go, always gonna say bonjour, merci, aurevoir at the minimum when interacting lol. Also gonna keep to myself and be a little less focused on what people around me are thinking when they appear to size me up anywhere i go. I'll never know anyway, so might as well stick to being respectful and keep a low profile.

I think he was semi-rude and didn't know his wines well. Oh well. But maybe because it is almost closing, he lightened up a bit. Thank you wine king for another video! I hope you've had a chance to try some wines from the Texas Hill Country! They are also the second largest AVA in the US only behind California. The grapes grown here are similar varieties to Tuscany as they share similar climates. I do recommend a lot of local wineries here Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo as they are the best from this region of the US.

It's always so weird to watch people's restaurant experiences in France. It seems fine but then some details really throw you off and then everyone acts ok about it. Since I'm not familiar with their culture, I might just be confused the whole time😂

I love to stroll around small italian towns looking for rare and good wines (and good Restaurants). He mentioned Sangiovese and it brought me back to Tuscany last year, i love chianti, the earthy, spice and red fruits goes really well with red meat!
