Pls I need to know if a man with the consent of his wife files for a divorce, how long does it take for the bailiff to serve the other and can he proceeed with the court setting a date for the case without an official notice to the partner as in a summon letter?

The man has to be served by all means. If he cannot be served personally, the court may direct other means by which he can be served.

It depends. It can even be one day. You just have to direct the bailiff and pay the transportation involved.

Yes please. If it is a divorce at the court, the American will be served with the court processes. She can decide not to come to court but the divorce can go on without her.

The court can make an order for the documents to be posted on the wall of his house, served on his boss, served on any other person in his house etc. 3 years, oh no! Please tell the registrar or the court your problem, and they will help you do a substituted service on him.
