Thank you for this very understandable and calm explanation. My 1.5 year old cat was just diagnosed with histoplasmosis that she must have gotten in Mississippi where she was rescued. She has been feeling sick and having chronic diarrhea for about 2 months. I’m really glad to get her on this anti fungal medication and hope it’s early enough to save her life.

How is your cat doing now? My cat just started her journey with Histo. I wish there was a support group for owners in this situation, but I haven't found any. This video is good though.

My poor dog has this i rescued her and what do ya know she lived literally right by the Mississippi River for years I the hood in st. louis she can't even breathe right with out choking let alone getting excited alot.

My aunt was just diagnosed this past week with histoplasmosis which has traveled to one of her eyes. Im curious she has 2 house cats could they have had it before she caught it? She is a very maculate person her house is not messy she doesn't have any old tree's in her yard. But she was born in raised on a farm in her younger days. But any how I was just curious could that animals have had it or can it be contagious from them?
