One of the most tragically forgotten ballet artists of the 20th Century. Many great dancers like Plisetskaya and Makarova considered Shelest one of their main inspirations. This was someone who never got her due at the Kirov (often due to petty company politics and jealousy). Even her marriage to Yuri Grigorovich has been erased from histories. It's a shame we don't have more film of her.

this room is still in use in mariinsky dancers lessons ,l saw it on so many videos already since late 70's early 80's lessons and also on very recent videos how many great dancers and teachers worked in this studio.

I think it's just that since the 1980s, young dancers think that they are automatically better and don't really have to do things any way but their own, which is always inferior. None of them know how to round their wrists and elbows.
