The biggest paradox is living in the west and hoping unnaturally that the philosophy of state separate from religion somehow accedes to an identity of religion-first identity.

Islam is not a religion but a political ideology. Muslims live in any country with the dream that one day the country will become Islamic. They will replace the democracy and the constitution with Sharia their own Islamic law. This is not with other religious groups. If you want to understand them read their Kuran and Hadis carefully. Ali Sena, an Iranian has also written a great book "Understanding Muhammed' on understanding Muslims.

When foreigners are moving or immigrating to my country, what makes them think that I have to adapt to their culture, religion, and language. They're the ones that need to understand that they are no longer living in their former country, therefore they need to adapt to their new country.

Immigrants should accept and practice the culture of host country. Generally western countries are less religious whereas most of the immigrants are religious. This will naturally creat friction in society. World over religion divides people. In the past Europeans had colonised many countries and subjected them to hardships. However, it is not fair to hold the present generation responsible for the atrocities.

If Muslims are united in Europe, then why can they not be united among each other in the Islamic world? Are not the Judeo-Christian values of Europe really the Muslims' saving grace?

The minority of any country will always be at the mercy of the majority. I grew up in the West and lived most of my life there, but felt the time had come to move me and my family back to my country of origin, a great decision. I appreciate the opportunities the West gave me, but the truth is that we Muslims cannot integrate into the West like people from other cultures.

Based on the doc alone. I have mixed feelings. There were more important questions that were never brought up. Why are other religious minorities could assimilate but others cannot? If a non-Muslim goes to an Islamic country, they have to dress 'modestly' and follow their rules: why can't Muslims in France behave and dress similar to the French? There were other important societal topics to cover which affect millions such as education, women empowerment and can Muslims be secular etc. With all my liberal values and knowledge of history, France made a mistake importing Muslims. The only 'Muslims' they should accept are ex-Muslims and other oppressed members of the Islamic world.

This is why education and skills ( e.g apprenticeship) is crucial to improving social mobility and health. Without good education opportunities, one cannot reach a high potential and good jobs which are so highly in demand. I do live in another EU-country but the main principle remains the same. Living in a ghetto are those at or near the bottom of the socio-economic hierarchy. The difference is too large for this group to mix with other groups, especially when other groups like for ex the chinese and eastern europeans are on the rise. For westerners mixing with some of the groups to a certain extend is not necessarily an issue as long as the differences are not too large. When it comes to other groups we will always remain at a distance which also explains why the populace at the bottom remained at the bottom and will continue to do so. I can't see us ever having a disussion, let alone that we live in the same neighborhood and a thing as friendship is totally out of the question. Apart from us living in the same country, our lives will never connect. Their neighborhood might be 10-15 km from mine but it's a world away.

I completely agree with France's position. Why would you want to live in a secular state yet think that your religion should come first? That the country's citizens need to bend to your way of thinking? Thinking that completely clashes with the rest of the population. If you're that religious move to Saudi Arabia instead.
