It's wrong on the part of those biblical translators to delibrately use the quranic word "allah" for the Old Testament hebrew word "ELohim" (plural form) found 26 times in Chapter 1 of the Book of Genesis, which has ended up confusing the arabic language readers. It's interesting to note that Estes claims that there is no plurality in the name "allah". While the word "ELohim" (plural form) means "mighty, strength and power" but the name allah neither holds to a similar meaning nor does it have one. Finally, ELohim has a sacred Biblical name called "YHWH" (Yehovah) found more than 6500 times in the Hebrew Bible. In the quran, allah does not recall having such a name as found in the Bible, the quran in several occasions claims that allah iteslf is a name.

But that’s the same reason for literally all other monotheistic religions. God is ascribed a male pronoun because the language makes it so. It’s a gender neutral pronoun when applied to God. This can’t possibly be *the sign* right? This is a pretty bad reason for believing, as that isn’t even unique to Islam

So you shouldn’t tell her that “it’s a bad reason for believing” and “that isn’t even unique to Islam” she has been a Muslim all her life but her belief wasn’t as strong meaning she most likely hasn’t been practicing the religion of Islam, so it’s pretty discouraging when you say stuff like that to people who want to have a stronger relationship with allah. When ever Muslim says shahada they says ilaha as God . The term “La ilaha illallah” means “there's no God but God”. "ashhadu alla ( ilaha ) ila Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammad rasoolu Allah." These Arabic words mean, "I testify that There is no true god but (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God." But now they translate like this There is no other trust worthy to worship besides Allah . If you read the Arabic it used ( ilaha )as God and it’s the real meaning of God in arabic Allah is a name of ancient arabic moon pagan god. With small letter period lol Allah does not mean God it’s a name . In Hebrew God is called Elohim In aramic it’s Elāhā or Eloi And in Arabic it ilaha but now they brainwashed every Muslim from centuries started believing Allah means god but which is not , allah is actually a ancient arabic pagan moon god name allah ( “ “Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani? What is your evidence to say Abraham was___________?* Here is My evidence from Bible..Prophet Abraham did not know any name Yahweh (Exodus 6:3) God reveal him "I am El" (אל) Again , it is confirm in (Genesis 17:1), he said "I am El" (אל) .And neither God said Abraham that " I am Jesus" 1]El (אל) is short form of Elah/Allah אלה . 2]Etymologically El (אל) is derived from Allah אלה (Compressive Hebrew etymological dictionary state that etymologically you find word in True sense. 3]Lexicon and Hebrew website says El (אל) is from Allah אלה. 4]Early christian commentaries reveal El (אל) is from Allah אלה 5]Jesus cried Eli lama, Eli lama that is translated as My God (El -God, i-my). There are several places God said to Jacob(Israel) that "I am El" (אל) As from above evidence it is proved that there is no word God or El and if we find true word from which hebrew word of God is derived from the name of Allah אלה In new testament( Bible) , Jesus called and prayed Same God of Abraham and Jacob. He never used Yhwh . There is no YHWH in New testament but there are thousands words of Allah. So from the bible itself says Prophet Abraham , Yaqoub(Israel) Jesus were Muslim. Not only this Quran clearly says prophet Abraham was Muslim(Quran 3:68) And refute that he was jew or christian "Do you say that Abraham, ishmael, Issac , jacob , descendants were Jews or christians ? And who is more unjust han who conceals a testimony he has from Allah? And Allah is not unaware of what you do"(Quran) On the other hand Bible or torah does not says the religion of Above people but when one does research you find That all the prophets above were Muslims. Whom God said "I am Allah". "And who would turn away from religion of Abraham except one who makes a fool of himself. 1. The speaker in this video is saying that Allah is mentioned in the bible 2. Word for god in arabic is illah 3. Word Allah is used for THE GOD but the bible was written in Ancient hebrew/aramaic which are also semitic language like arabic. The name that THE GOD revealed to moses was written as "YHWH" which means I am who I am. This name(YHWH) was considered to be sacred and was not used, instead they used words like Eel, Eli, Adonai, Mara, Mariyah, Allaha for god. This clearly contradicts the claim by the presenter that the word Allah was used for THE GOD(YHWH). On the contary the aramaic word Allaha is a common noun similar to english usage of word "god".
