A righteous person seeks out understanding of God to be more like Him. And feeling and the heart are deceiving and above all, desperately wicked.

I think both fall short of how we should truly be seeking God. We should desire to KNOW God, which is different from understanding. Knowing God is what our hearts should want. We won’t always “feel” God. He should not be boiled down to our human emotion and how we comprehend him, considering He is so much bigger than that.

@@X5stacy Yo bro. God will fix everything if you trust in him. Now I don't know what addiction or paranoia is like, but if you surrender to the Lord, he will fix everything. Try going to church every Sunday and pray every day and don't give up...pray 10 minutes a day, God doesn't care as long as you pray, it's always enough for him if you put him first in your life, meaning spend time with him. God knows who you are and he will never leave your side. Follow God and do good, do not sin. He will help you fix things if you also help. Good luck with destroying your addiction...and I'm positive your paranoia will go away because God is stronger than those nasty times. I will pray for you brother...don't give up, God will speak to you.

My best friend took his life and I will admit that I had a warning and could’ve done something about it. I want to be cleansed of this issue that’s been killing me spiritually as well as killing my reality, and probably keeping my reality from turning in on itself to become better. Ever since September 10th, 2022, my best friend took his life, and a girl he was crushing on back in high school warned me and she told me that he was having suicidal thoughts and tendencies, such as mixing drugs, he was only 18 too. I know god sees all. I just know this is part of the reason why I’ve locked myself in my own hell that I invited myself into by not having the principle to just be sure he was fine no matter how uncomfortable the question would’ve been for me and him. I went over there to the hotel room he was staying at, and things were cool. I just assumed that he was finally getting his chin up in the face of his issues. And it probably could’ve been stopped by me having the gumption to say something disruptive to the good times we were having, that I so naively took as an indicator of his mental state, assuming his mental state was good... On the night it happened, he was urging me to stay longer. We were in a little hotel that reeked of weed and was in the hood before he was supposed to deploy for basic training in the marines, me and him went out earlier and got some booze, and he got really drunk that night. He was trying to get me to stay longer but I was ready to go home and get some rest. I sure hope me leaving didn’t contribute to this feeling of hopelessness, and him thinking that people actually didn’t like him. Because I truly loved him. I just want to pour it out of my heart, and hope god has other ways. I saw him appear to me in a dream. Well, in 2 dreams. And each one had a message of some sort. The first dream, him and I roamed around my city where we talked about and relived some of our best memories, after he’d have told everyone that he simply faked his death, saying to everyone that he was fine. Well went to the store, talked about the times in which we bought up a bunch of tropical punch to mix with Titos. Then later we went back to that hotel, and he sat me down in the chair he took his life in, and told me that he was really dead after all, and that he only wanted people to not worry about him. Then he vanished, and I was left there alone, in the very same place he died. And all this happened to me while I was only 19, I just turned 21, so it’s been about a year and a half since this horrible event happened. I can feel the vibes he gave me here tonight and it hurts to think about him. Praise Jesus and love god. Be grateful to be here, and alive. Never waste time. Give to others. Live for something bigger than yourself. Seek freedom. My friend was a very free guy. Very wild too. It’s been weighing in on my chest and I just feel this is stuff I need to confess. Congrats if you got this far. May god bless you. You’ve got one beautiful life. Make the most of it.

The early disciples were able to actually experience God in person which no doubt gave them a significantly closer relationship with him. Also, they experienced signs and wonders to back up their faith which we all know doesn’t happen in our modern day.

Romans 8:31-29 I look back at the times and I'm grateful, I'm grateful that he gave me a story a testimony of his faithfulness and constant character. you too will look back and see his faithfulness and consistency & when you do go tell it on the mountain. remember we overcome by the blood and the word of our testimony, don't be afraid to tell the world your story

I remember when I first read Corinthians 10:13 and knew my path had to be with god cause I struggled with the same things you are. God is comfortable isn't it? A shapeless mass of pure existence created by the subconscious primal need for reasoning. It fills the cracks in perception and casts a rig on reality, giving birth to law and order, binding the chaos to your will. It hides the pandemonium that is creation, covers your eyes but sometimes you need to look into abbyss, and then it all falls apart.

I started to really just talk, talk like I'm talking to a friend who knows me, and I respect. I really dived deep in the last 2-3 weeks, and it's changed my life. I feel heard. There are times I hear myself, I feel how maybe Abba would respond and there times of laughter & joy, other times of being rebuked and corrected. I feel His presence. His Peace. The time I set apart for Him, He always makes sure to be there.

Me too. I'm also thirteen, and grew up in the church. Sometimes growing up in the church is hard because we see things like prayer, worship, singing at church, listening to sermons, communion, and more as just things that we should do, and nothing more. It can be hard to focus in on what they really are and what they really mean, not just what they mean to us but also what they mean to God. The very fact that you clicked on this video shows that you're trying to get closer to God, and I think thats amazing. Its great for your relationship to God, but its also good for mine because you're being inspiring, and a light to people that are in a similar spiritual situation. I thank you for that, and want you to know that I'm proud of you, and so is God. Stay strong in your faith. I'll see you in heaven one day

Sorry to hear that about mom…my parents were the same way some 40 years later I get it why the “Don’t Forget to Pray!” Statement. Your parents are trying to develop a pattern that will benefit you years later. See you that you start running today or you start lifting weights today you don’t see much results but if you continued with those exercises, what do you think it looked like at 21 or 25! pretty well-built the same with prayer. I wish I could be at 15 and really dig into my prayers at that age that be so much better today number two it’s a communication it’s like finding an old friend and talking for hours but you don’t have to pray for hours unless you want to. Hey man, just wanted to encourage to you to give your life to Jesus if you haven’t already. Also grew up in church without truly knowing God. Then one day, I repented and give my life to God. I remember I went through something very similar at your age. Couldn’t really explain it either. It wasn’t until later in life that I realized that “group “ of friends had taken a much different path….. a not so good path. It’s not always easy to listen and to understand Gods ways but I know in my heart of hearts that he loves me/you and wants the best for me. Sometimes we don’t listen and it is during those times that God will get your attention to……slow down…..correct your path…..put things or circumstances in your path that are difficult so we turn back to him to listen. I’m 54 and have learned the hard way that worldly possessions, job titles, etc. don’t compare with Gods love. All those other things can be taken away. His love can’t. I hope this helps you on your journey.

You know because you trust from the bottom of your heart that God is the one true God of all things. It’s not logical. You can logic your way through bits and pieces of the bible and scripture, but it comes down to humbling yourself and admitting that God knows best and you trust that. That’s what feeling the presence of God to me is. That trust within my heart that calms my nerves and leads me on a righteous path.

Same here. I have been on my spiritual journey for about 10 years now, slowly shifting from agnostic to Christian, and just recently started taking time to focus on prayer daily, within the last few weeks. This is so helpful, especially as someone who did not grow up in the church.
