Allan Clarke is absolutely the best. In everything. Love his looks, from any decade. Love his voice, from any decade. He just has that somethin, somethin which makes me want to watch and listen to him ALL of the time. Thank God, the Hollies and his solo albums provide SO MANY wonderful songs to choose from!!!! Interviews like this are the icing on the cake..mmm....
As someone who spent the first (almost) 6 years of my life in multiple Foster homes, it warms my heart to see this!! Find a Family! It was all about the children. Seeing they’re placed with a family who will love them. Why can’t America get this right? Because here, it’s about “Growing your family through adoption”! Big difference! It’s all about the adoptive parents. We could certainly learn something here. The Hollies song “I’m Down” resonates so much with me. I’m going to research this and learn about this program. Thanks to Alan Clarke and others for their work with this program!! ❤ I hope and pray Christine and Erica found loving homes!!
It does not surprise me that Alan Clark was involved with this adoption agency he is that kind of person and I never heard him discuss it because he is very humble and probably does not like to brag about anything being the kind of person he is but it was wonderful to see this and of course I am wondering like all of you what became of the young lady he was helping. I wonder if she found a good home (most likely) and if she ended up doing anything musically as a career...she definitely has an excellent voice even at this young stage and it must have been a dream come true for her to be taken under Clark's wing musically like that. I can't imagine how thrilled she was and probably a little intimidated at the same time but his warmth and affection probably made the entire thing an awesome experience for her and everyone involved as he is a very special person with a big heart ...btw awesome cake!
Allan is a gentleman and a beautiful person as are all the Hollies. They are my favourite band and for good reason. Back before it all went wrong and bad with hate filled garbage like Iron Maiden there was real music and people who wanted to make the world a better place instead of destroying it. The Hollies put a lot of time and effort and love into what they do and this is further ample proof of how Allan has a great heart.
I am a faithful fan of the Hollies. All talented musicians. The voice of Allan, the guitar mastery of Tony, the drum genius of Bobby and so with Terry and Bernie. They all act as gentlemen, wholesome package. Great songs. I love you Hollies! Thanks for the music.
Very special man, very caring. Been on a Hollies kick these past few days and discovered a great deal of songs that I love. Never knew they even existed. Love Allan's looks in various decades and his voice sends chills down my spine, love these discoveries. Keep on doing this beautiful work and singing.
Allan Clarke, embora passou o tempo, marcou época, dono de uma voz linda. Carismático, talentoso, com a Banda Hollies, jamais será esquecido...! Parabéns. ..!
This is really special, Anthony. While it was wonderful to see Allan actively involved in such a worthwhile cause, now I wonder whatever happened to Christine! I hope she did well.
Completamente de acuerdo. Su estilo iinterpretativo melódico fue tan memorable que podemos hallarlo homenajeado en vocalistas como Dennis DeYoung (Styx) y Russell Hitchcok (Air Supply)
Yes, that is a good comparison Lou Gramm from Foreigner now that you mention it has kind of a similar thing going on but each of them is unique in their own way but yes they are in the same neighborhood vocally and could probably interchange a little and pay tribute to each other's work and do an admirable job I can picture Clark doing I Want to Know What Love Is and I could picture Graham doing He Ain't Heavy and both would sound good doing each other's material but still each is younique I want to stress and not identical. I would further suggest adding Steve Perry to this group I think he could also handle covering this material and do a fantastic job! Peace, Bob
