There is first of all several writings that independently refer to Mary Magdalene as being the closest disciple to Jesus. The psalms and Isaiah clearly tell us he was delivered from death, his life was prolonged, he had gray hair and would live to see his seed. Hebrews 5:7 and Hebrews 10:4-12, psalms 22:24 also tells us he was delivered. He had to be alive until at least 68 ad to fulfill the prophecies which appear he was indeed.

For real. Personally I dont beleive the whole divinity aspect of Jesus, but I do think that there was a historical figure that started a religious movement named jesus. I don’t think the claim is fake because of any historical evidence (which there is plenty of). Assuming that the Bible is correct in that Jesus is the son of god, and lived a sinless life, how would he ever maintain a relationship with a human being? Imagine being betrothed with the LITERAL god of your universe, who can do no wrong, and loves you more than you will ever be able to love him. That would destroy a person, because they will never be peers, and thus a true relationship is lacking. This is no fault of god’s, but the idea that Jesus would seek a romantic relationship with a human doesn’t make sense. Plus from a biblical perspective, Jesus IS god and thus created Mary Magdelane. She was like a child to him, in the way every other person in the world is.

Jesus never claimed to be God. He only ever said he was the son of God and that we are all children of God. He must have bloodline decendents even if not children. He tried to make the world a better place and had a failed assassination attempt on his life before he was successfully assassinated. Didn't want material wealth and must have been very charismatic. After reading the book i'm not one bit surprised at this new uncovered fact that Jesus and Mary wed and had children. When I was in seminary we all know about the gospels of Thomas and the Gospels of Mary Magdalene and were aware of the reason why those books were not admitted into the canon. This wont be much of a surprise to my congregation being that I have always given subtle instances of him surviving an attempt on his life.
