Hey Phil it is fun to see this video of you a long time ago since I know you Now. We see you so passionate about DJing and we Love you. Keep going My Man
Pity they did not put 2 sets of extra Line/Phono RCA switchable inputs on the back of the unit, it would make Timecode control with Traktor through the use of turntables or cdjs a breeze. It would sort of be like the Traktor A10 soundcard input/output idea! Possibly an option in future models but all in all an Ideal unit have considering on purchasing one! Reasonably priced too! Good review dude!
I've just got one of these. It will arrive in one or two days. Where did u say u got the basic Midi map? I've got a gig on Sat and Im not going to personalize my mappings too much this time due to time constraints. Thanks in advance
Hi, i ve the same question . Can all 4 channels be used in traktor with this as soundcard for output (via rca ) and monitoring all the 4 channels via headphone jack ?
Hey man, great video! Got the K2 and I love it, but could you please help me with something? I am using 2 cdj's to control deck A&B in Traktor and want xone K2 to control deck C&D. Do you know how to set it up?? Im having a really hard time... Thank You and greetings from Ireland!
Excellent presentation video. One question:Could it be mapped as a two deck controller(=2 left collumns for deck A and the other two for deck B)? So as to have:1)buttons mapped as play, sync, browse, load etc 2)knobs for the effects(activation and parameteres) an for loops(length etc) and the up faders for pitch control(fader in the middle=pitch at original bpm)...I want to connect with an external mixer...
How do you map two k2s with traktor? I just can map one. The other one doesn't do anything it's even in another midi channel. Also, why I can't get any sound through the k2's soundcard in traktor pro 2 but I am able to get sound when I'm running traktor 1. Help me please!
Thank you for the great review! I'm currently using Traktor + external mixer and I'm looking to upgrade my gears. I am looking at Xone products and I have a question regarding the K2/mixer combo. Could you tell me why dj's use midi controller + mixer? What are some more things you could do with that combination vs. mixer stand-alone? Thank you!
I Philp I hope you're fine, like always thanks for your time and videos, look I have two denon sc 2000 and I would like to ask you if is possible to connect the denon to the xone k2 and then to connect the k2 to the laptop, this could be possible or is something impossible?
hi , this video and thhis machine its the best thing i see, i have some questions and your recomend...i want to use 2 controlers x1 to use 4 decks on traktor and the k2 to midi and like a interfaz!! what do you think? thanks...reguards
Another question, if you had one of these used connected it with a standard external mixer via rca cables would it just as easy to use the mixer to control the volume and eq for the 4 channels? Or would that require extra work?
Can it be used with iPads since it is core midi via connection kit or powered hub? if so can it also be mapped to DJ Player app and audio routed with ios6. Please say yes
'..a little bit past beginner'? I'd say the unit itself is rather flexible in its application, not sure how one would argue for it being a beginner's unit only. Compared to many cheap units out there this to me clearly is a professional device
How is this for midi mapping? I use Ableton Live specifically- I need a replacement for my korg nanoKontrol that is reliable and won't have issues like my Maschine MK2
So with this would it be easy to map to have the faders control the volume of 4 channels and the then above knobs for highs, mids, lows similar to a standard dj mixer and then use the shift button to move to the next 4 channels (5-8)? My idea is to pair this with a launchpad and control all eight channels volume using the faders for volume and the knobs for eq.
I have a question How would split the audio lines if your using a mixer in a club? So basically, I want get in there and take deck A on channel from the club mixer and deck B on the other.
would have liked two stereo outs in the same format on the back pannel. like two RCA outs on the back and a third output channel on the front. having the current layout doesn't make much sense in traktor.
Im worried about all that power drain when linking these up, id like to see them working reliably linked together, thats alot of power for what could be a lot of light and audio linked up. I'm not sold till I see more than one connected controlling Traktor or Ableton.
dez kev Depends what you want to do, but it would work next to any other controller as long as you can map your software to it. It's not something you'd really need.
Digital DJ Tips I’m in the market for some monitors and I’ve heard these in the store, they sound great. Would you recommend them over the more expensive Yamahas?
Too thin. Too light. No XLRs in the back. And companies need to give both balanced master and balanced booth on the back. We're supposed to map headphone volume in-software for the front cue jack? 1/4" jack is standard. A miss for this price.
can you map one of the infinity knobs to control the browse section in ableton live? i made quite a research on the topic and it turns out the only existing midi controller with this function is "Push" thanks in advance
how does the sound quality on this unit go up against an dj audio10 sound card? thinking of selling my audio 10 and getting me one of these, ' BTW check this out! Creativity FTW! watch?v=pohTY2x0J2Q
