Wow, some great dancing from Marty!!! Such a simple line "Hello dere" but I still remember it over 50 years later!

This never ceases to be funny. Every time I watch it, it's funny. Classic humor -- simple, relatable, silly, lovable.

I can't believe anybody has not made a comment about Allens dance moves at the end. That's what they do today and everybody goes crazy over.

Marty Allen was still performing when he was 89! Amazing.
@jrnfw4060

Part of that was due to Karon taking good care of him and forcing him to eat nutritiously (he didn't always comply), to exercise and stay in shape. If you compare earlier pictures of Marty, he did seem to slim down a bit later in his life. His genuine love of life also helped contribute to his boundless energy, plus, he was wired that way. He didn't seem to have an "off" switch. When you love what you're doing, it keeps you youthful in spirit and that helps keep you younger in body. It's all interconnected. Age is really only a number.

I wonder which one got the most chicks?
@jrnfw4060
@jrnfw4060 2 месяца назад
I'll bet a lot of girls were mad about both of them. Marty had been happily married since 1960, and I assume was off limits. I don't know Steve's status at that time. If he had been available, I would lay my money on Marty having gotten the most chicks. But neither of them would have been lonely for very long. They were a very appealing pair.

Fun. There are a couple of quite risqué moments for '64 in there, if you listen closely enough. CuffColl.

Is this date wrong? The Nat King Cole show referenced in one of the jokes was only on 1956-1957, no? Unless there's another layer to that joke I'm not getting....

This is the kind of schlock "comedy" that Carlin and Pryor destroyed - forever.
