No disrespect, but I generally prefer the live versions of Allen Stone's songs way more than his studio versions. I feel like he should just release a live album.
I agree as well but all great artist sound great live which is a great reason to see them live and not just see them/hear them on RU-vid/music apps. That’s just me tho

I had just lost my sister on September 11 that year and it was as if she was talking to me through these lyrics. She did give me blue whenever I had gray skies from heaven. yes ... without sounding disrespectful ... this is the only Song that I skip on the new album, while I love the song without end ... the producers or who ever? managed to destroy the magic of this song on the album version ... there is just way too much going on in the arrangement (including some kind of Christmas bells) ... a more stripped down version like on the lake or THIS ONE suites the song so much better ...
Bro this is amazing. A fan since u were on Conan. I was like who was that crazy white boy, play that performance. Bought tickets to ur show. Then my lady who worked in entertainment was actually friends with his publicist at the time. She offered us free tickets and we were like thanks but we already bought some. cjgarza12 I just saw him for the first time ever on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. I had the same reaction...who is that guy?...and LOVED the song he performed “Brown Eyed Lover. So I looked him up online and he’s actually coming to Orlando in Feb on his tour. Will def go see him live! I just listened to every song I came across on RU-vid that he did and not one that I don’t like! I’ve watched Brown Eyed Lover at least 5 times since seeing him for the first time ever an hour ago. He’s got mad talent! Beautiful bluesy jazzy rhythm and smooth voice. Why isn’t he a household name yet? LOVING his music already! Where can I get his CD’s??!!
This version just sounds so much better than the album version... The album version isn't mixed/mastered well imo compared to this, which is just so clear and just amazing. It really does the song justice.
