“We're the D-Day Dodgers, out in Italy Always on the vino, always on the spree; Eighth Army scroungers and their tanks, We live in Ban, among the Yanks. We are the D-Day Dodgers, out in Italy. “We landed at Salerno, a holiday with pay, The Froggies brought the bands out to greet us on the way. Showed us the sights and gave us tea, We all sang songs, the beer was free To welcome D-Day Dodgers to sunny Italy. “Naples and Casino were taken in our stride, We didn't go to fight there, we went just for the ride. Anzio and Sangro were a farce, We did fuck-all, sat on our arse; For we’re the D-Day Dodgers, way out in Italy. “Oh, there, Lady Astor, please listen in to this, Don’t stand up on the platform and talk a lot of piss. You're the nation’s sweetheart, the nation’s pride; But your bloody big mouth’s far too wide. That’s from the D-Day Dodgers, in sunny Italy. “If you look ‘round the mountains, in the mud and rain, You'll find the scattered crosses, some that bear no name. Heartbreak and toil and suffering gone, The lads beneath them slumber on. For they are the D-Day Dodgers who’ll stay in Italy.” -The Ballad of the D-Day Dodgers, author unknown, 1944
in combat mission theres a spot mechanic that not all units spot the same unit at same time so it means that the squad that he selected only saw the soldier at that time while a guy some where alredy saw this soldier like 6 times . or no one saw the soldier until that point
Love the AT round ricocheting off the gun mantlet on the Panther Ausf. A into the driver compartment simulating a shot trap, a real world issue. Well done!
This is so badass. ASMR too. I find the SFX very pleasing. Especially the ricochets or glances off armored vehicles. I also like that I can find alot of comedy in it too. Whether in movements or dialogue 🤭👍
Churchill once said that Italy was the soft underbelly of the Axis; Italian military weaknesses aside, the country is one of the worst places to invade from South to North in Europe. Flanking defensive lines is almost impossible and the German forces there didn't surrender till the final WEEKS of the War.
It was easy at first, but as soon as the allies got past Florence it got harder and harder Churchill didn't think about a long term strategy. Plus the battle of Anzio was almost a complete failure.
Is it me? Or the firing animations and tracers are a lot smoother in this vid if you compare them to the old ones? Hope you'll do more ww2 scenarios like this in the future! Quality content as always. 🙂
Different game lol, mowas2 game engine is 32 meaning it can only use like 2-4gigs of ram. He also does call to arms which is 64 but can get jerky sometimes.
Great job! Great job! Advise the you experiment with camera angles if you can. Like a scene where the camera is between two tanks from ground level while they advance/fire or both or tipping the camera sideways or upside-down so that the troopers look like their collapsing onto the sky, placing the camera to the upper left or right of a squad in a defensive position, sideways of a another squad advancing while getting picked off something like that. Btw, I find it weird they didn't take cover behind the armor. Not hugging it, mind you, just using it for cover until they can spread out into the ruins. Infantry tactics back then.
The videos are rendered at a full 1440p and bitrate higher than anyone. Graphics are totally up to the game developers to improve them. Realistic simulation games always lack graphics. You either get an arcade game with stunning graphics or realism with not-so-nice graphics.
