My 2002 occasionaly will act loke it is shifting down into a super low gear when i am at a crawl and letting off of accelerator and coming to a stop. I cluncks and tips me forward in me seat a bit when it happens. Happens at about 3 - 8 mph range.. any thoughts on this issue would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Good video, informative< but a lil dark. We are not professional but thank you for showing the procedure. Do you know what the torque spec is for tightening the bolts to the valve body
I have an 03 sierra and awhile back it started shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to third. Would down shift hard as well. After a few weeks (i dont drive it much) it got worse and eventually wouldnt shift at all. Range shift inhibited came on and sent in into limp mode about a mile from my house. I limped it home and came back out a couple hours later and started it up with no check engine light. So i hopped in it and drove it down the road and it was shifting fine. Shifted perfect up until a week ago it started shifting hard again. This time it was 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th. Hard down shift again. Now its only hard shift in 1st to 2nd gear. Would a clogged valve body cause this?
So did that fix it ? I have a 02 with the Allison 1000 and I have the limp mode happen at least once a year and they always replace the neutral safety switch
I’ve got the same code on my 2006 Sierra 2500. Is it necessary to remove the valve body? I thought you can replace the solenoid with the valve body on the transmission.
To just replace the solenoid you do not need to take the valve body out. I took mine out for 4-5 shift solenoid stuck on. It’s not super difficult to take out just time consuming
Worst camera work ever! I got sea sick and had to stop. That and the audio not working. Good try, but mount that camera to something that doesn't move, man!
