Hey Mike. Remove the shoe and drum assy. You don’t want it to lock up and cause any damages. The only issue you might have is the receiving yoke for your U joint. But u can change it out.

Hisir One question Estoyvremplazando las allison 2100hs Pero una tiene los fitin houses mas pqueños y mangueras y el del camion trae los fiting and houses mas grandes ?? Se puede cambiar solo los fiting a la trasmicion ? Nueva de mayor tamaño ? Para que entren las mangueras grandes o se tendria que cambiar msngueras mas chicas del troque y enfriafor. Que sera bueno ? O ninguna de las 2?? Muchas gracias ??
@@JoesBusBarnok Gracias Aunque las mangueras sean mas grandes de la trasmission vieja 7/8 Y las de la transmicion nueva son mas delgadas 3/4 .. No afecta el flujo de aceite ? Just to make sure Gracias
Did you have someone else remove the Transmission pan for you? As a Trans builder. The first thing you do is look into the pan for debris. If there is some. You don't start by removing the valve body. You start by removing the trans. I knew you didn't actually repair transmissions when I saw the video. Very basic mistakes. You're a parts replacer.
Hola buenas noches, saludos desde el salvador. Tengo una transmisión alisson 2400 en un camión HINO fe2620 año 2003, me encendió la luz de AT y se queda bloqueada en 4ta velocidad... Con el scaner le borramos los códigos que daba pero me dicen que el cuerpo de válvulas es el malo y que debo cambiar la transmisión completa... Alguna idea de este problema? Gracias
Hola. Por lo escrito. Parese ser que su camion entro a “LIMP MODE”. Deberia chekar el fusible en el compartamento de las pilas “TCM”. Tambien tiene un relay para la TCM. Lo ultimo es que fallo la TCM TCM es modulo de control de transmission.
@@shakira1784 fijate que le cambie pero solo 2 válvulas que se miraban dañadas.. Pero el problema persiste y al hacer el cambio de segunda a tercera tira el chek en el tablero y se queda la caja en tercera
Didn't get to replace this one due to the fact that trans is going to be replaced. These r a bit different cause they r inside the trans and the valve body has to be removed.
2018 allison 1000 6 speed 95k miles slips from 3rd to 4th gear. Chevy dealer replaced valve body and Injector # 4 under warranty now it doesn't slip that bad but it still does it. Could it be the torque converter?
This might be a good place to ask a question? My 09 5500 Topkick has been for awhile the locoDollar Shop is proving to be just that! Sometimes when shifting between D to P I get a (loud relative) clank! Something electrically is still picked up?? I am easy on the truck like normal , leave out the 100 your doing ??? wrong. Where is my GM document # 2908267.Is this relative or ???
After you here the clank noise and electrical fault appears. Does ur truck go into limp mode (2nd gear only). If so. You might want your TCM checked and or re flashed.
Sorry me bad. Guess I didn't see/expect a reply. No it is usualllllly when I am in my parking spot, which is stopped and just slowly like normal shift into (P) from drive. As I have two fairly sharp corners to do as well as missing other cars so no rush part of my cool down for the truck. I do notice if I am tryinggggg to keep up with traffic the shift points do increase where I normally like them low RPM. I shall have to have Allison do that as GM doesn't here any more. More exucesses. More co$t$.
Worst transmission I’ve ever owned and come to find out it’s not an Allison. It’s a GM transmission badged with the Allison name. Don’t buy one. Mine is under warranty and the dealer won’t fix it.
Haven’t run into turbine shaft speed sensor performance yet. A bunch of tc1 top slow boost has become a common one. Crankcase breather is the culprit causing these issues.
@@JoesBusBarn Yes it's one in the middle. It will load test a big sealed beam light. I wana say the harness is good but I have put a tcm on before and the code didnt go away. Truck went to the allison dealer and they had said it was something internal of the transmission and it got replaced.... Good resistance reading when going through the sensor plugged in and the pins at the module. Yes new sensor and confirmed 5volts at the connector plug.
Maybe you should have looked into the bottom of the pan before you pulled the valve body. LOL I've been rebuilding automatic transmissions for 35 years and your video made me laugh. I would hav been embarrassed to post a mistake like this. LOL
Locally we purchase trannys from navistar dealerships. WELLER offers a reman trans for a little over 2000 if it’s model 2000 or under. If it’s is a 2500 or over. It goes up to 3100 dollars.
