"Taped" it was never. "Filmed" is what the show was. The only footage of the show to be *filmed* in Boston was establishing exterior shots of 14 Beacon Street, which was depicted as the location of the law firm where Ally and her colleagues worked. Otherwise, everything was shot on an L.A. soundstage, I believe.
