Thanks for acknowledging the faith required of parents sending their kids on missions. My oldest daughter served and now my second daughter is serving. I am learning to put my complete faith in the Lord. It's really difficult!

My husband and I served a humanitarian mission in Tbilisi, Georgia and it was a remarkable place with truly wonderful people. (And the food was really great). We saw more than 16 young missionaries who were the best of the best! We served in 2013 - 2015 and my husband turned 88 the month after we got back home. He was treated with kindness and great respect from everyone we met. Great country and faithful great people.

Alma 17 has a fitting description of how one could describe Hank & John, "Bethren in the Lord- yea they had waxed strong in the knowledge of the truth; for they were men of a sound understanding and they had searched the scriptures diligently, that they might know the word of God. 3 But this is not all; they had given themselves to much prayer, and fasting; therefore they had the spirit of prophecy, and the spirit of revelation, and when they taught, they taught with power and authority of God." Alma 17: 2-3 Thank you John and Hank for sharing your teachings and testimony each week with is!

At 23:12 There is a discussion on what repentance is. I would add to your words that repentance is walking life in a higher and holier way. We can't live higher and holier without continually doing all the things you mentioned and we can't keep ourselves living higher and holier without maintaining that profound change of mind and heart. I believe that repentance is all these things working synergistically together. We see how Alma and the sons of Mosiah changed, heart and mind to become holy men and they maintained their holiness by keeping heart and mind focused on Christ. Thank you for your videos! they are indispensable to me as I live alone and have no one to share my scripture study with. You fill that void for me. Thank you so much

I have two young men in Army too their mother is not a Latter day Saint I served in the Salt Lake North Mission in 1982 their was a river going down State Street 😮
