In the latest clip, Almighty Jay reacted to Cordae's crossover success and the YBN's breakup. After claiming the YBN crew knew Cordae's album would be a major project and speaking on Cordae's relationship with Naomi Osaka, Almighty Jay reacted to YBN Nahmir announcing that YBN was over. He explained why Nahmir blamed him and Cordae for the group's breakup, as well as challenging Nahmir to a fight. Almighty Jay later said why he called out the lawyer who signed the group and claimed their shady deal contributed to the crew's split.

Almighty Jay seems like a level headed young man as well as Cordae .. But I get the feeling Nahmir was the 1st to pop and watching Cordae surpass him kind of hurt him .. I always felt like Jay didn't really care about the being a rapper part so he jugged it for all he could but Nahmir really wants to be where Cordae is at and it's just levels to this rapping shit and Cordae knows that which is why everyone in YBN is where they are right now 💯✌🏾

The breakdown in simplest form: Cordae wanted to branch off & he felt the YBN brand depreciated his value. Whatever that meant to him @ the time. Nahmir felt like damn, YBN is what got u poppin now U poppin & u flexin. That’s weird. I see his point exactly& would feel a way too. the group never made sense. Almighty Jay and Nahmir make kind of vague, nondescript street rap and Cordae is a "backpack" rapper. They just through them together. But that said, I saw Cordae perform at the 2018 XXL Freshman show and he performed for only like 2 songs, and he killed it and the crowd liked his performance way more than Nahmir's.

Nahmir started the group. He is YBN. YBN Turned Cordae into a star. I remember when no one knew he even exsisted. Nahmir put YBN on his name blew him up. No matter how talented someone is it takes a star to make a star. Nahmir did rubbin off the paint and attracted 200 million people. unheard of. Nahmir was the most talented one I still remember that half on a baby freestyle he did.

YBN Nahmir needed the group. The others just didn't need him. I tried to listen to a couple of YBN Nahmir's songs and the ones I listened to were awful. His verses on the track with 21 Savage felt like a middle school student wrote them. My brain shutdown when I heard the verse that included something like "I got a rocket in my pocket - they call it a pocket rocket".......... Even 21 looked sad in the video. 21 looked a big brother who was told by his mom that he had to take his little brother to the mall with him. All that to say, I would have left the group too.
