Came out amazing!!! I used 2 chiles for the whole batch. Got 500ml of yogurt. Let it overnight in the warm oven. Thank you soooo much!!!

How many degrees Celsius did you set the oven at please?

@paolorasador7180 I left it warm after having it 180C for 20 minutes. Cooled it down till I could touch inside and let yogurt there door closed overnight. I'm sure it got cold in a couple of hours but in the morning yogurt was perfect.

No need to strain or heat it. As she has suggested to use hot water, after grinding the final result will be lukewarm almond milk. You can directly add yogurt starter and you're good. Keep it for 8hrs your curd is ready.

Thanks for sharing. How warm is the almond milk when you add the Chillies ? My two earlier experiments with home made Almond milk didn't succeed. I had filtered the almond milk after taking out the blender, and then heated the milk, cooled it down n then added chilly stalks . After 10 hours the milk was slightly sour but had not curdled not had yoghurt consistency. Thanks in advance

If it was sour then it fermented. The reason hers is thick is bc she didn't filter the fiber out.

Store bought tends to have preservatives in it, so may not culture as well. The hot water she added in the blending process was enough to warm up the milk to get the culture started fast.

In my experience no, bc store bought tends to have preservatives in it.

In home-made almond milk, you control how much almonds are used, how thick the milk is. In store-bought almond milk, if u look at the back of container (label) u can see that they use only a low amount of almonds. Only in a few (high priced) almond milk brands, they use proper amount of almonds to make the milk. Otherwise, in majority of store-bought almond milk brands, you won't find as much nutrition as homemade one. Only when the milk is healthy, the curd made from it, will also be healthy. That is why u should try to make almond milk at home and make curd from that. But if u can afford somewhat high priced almond milk from store, then yes. You will get the same curd/yogurt consistency as home-made ones. It does save time. Just check the brand name of almond milk u buy on internet, find out if it's a good brand. Cuz even amidst the pricey brands, some are not worth the price.

@@WoozyCool 'Healthy' is relative... some folks are allergic to nuts. Preservatives bring us the luxury of modern vaccines and life-saving medications; some occur as preservatives in yogurt. Sometimes microbes kill or maim us. In this example they're just tasty.
