South Sound, can't give out the location because it isn't my spot. I have heard of people getting them from Alki beach but I am sure they are all over the sound.

Thanks so much! The current rips through there. You'd have to go at slack tide. But you could make a killing collecting all the lost tackle down there. I thought of learning to free dive so I could go get it but then found out it is dangerous to do on your own. All the line down there would probably add to the danger.

I am surprised there is no catch and release fishing for sharks in Washington State. They are hardy fish but most fishing here seems to cater to fish as a source of food.

No they got one the day after (a beauty too). It's pretty shallow 20-35'

Apparently there are 13 shark species but the ones mostly caught are 6gill, 7gill, soupfin and dogfish. Here's an article that lists 12 and I think the 13th is a tiger shark. wdfw.medium.com/showcasing-sharks-of-washington-this-shark-week-e75d737d0b1f

It has actually been unseasonably cool. The low this day was 45 and the high was mid 70's. We aren't even cracking 80 yet and it's almost July! Florida is fishing heaven no matter the temperature though.
