On a nice warm day, that beach looks nice enough to swim in, but no, its full of sharks 🐟 Cool to have your friend film the action. The shark wanted to turn and bite ya. You had the right tool to unhook the beast. Nice underwater release. You are the master 👍🏻 Truly amazing Brett 😮

Thank-you. Kids swim in there during the summer, even when people are catching sharks right there. They only try bite you when you are handling them.

Thank-you. They are strong but pretty lazy fighters. The soupfins are nuts they fight more like sturgeon.

I always enjoy the sharks. Neat rig. I assume the spider weight is made to anchor it in current? Does it make it hard to fight a fish if it grabs something? That shark was a sea serpent. Awesome catch.

Thank-you. The weight is attached with light line so it can break off if it gets hung up. I make them so I don't mind losing them. There is a steep dropoff with a rocky edge so we lose lots.

What was the measurement? That was neat seeing it on top of the water out far. Looks like you fishing in a channel I don't need the location don't want to give your spot away, is that a Island across the way or is it a inlet? it seems they like that area the sharks 🦈, Nice job on shark fishing 🎣

Thank-you. I think it was 7' but I didn't get a measurement. My friend says it's a nursery for 7 gills because these are pretty small ones.

Hey me and a friend are wanting to try to catch these bigger sharks, getting a lil bored of the smaller dogfish, any recommendations on where to fish on the sound? Preferably shore access?

They are all over the place you just have to hit it at the right time / tide. Use bigger baits for bigger sharks.

Both work. Whatever is cheaper for you because there is a drop off and you get hung up a bunch.

I don't. I just rebait every half hour more or less depending how bad they are. Some people will put a float on the leader to raise the bait off the bottom. But with the current exchange and all the weeds I think a raised bait would catch a lot more weeds.

Some. I've tried mutiny bay for halibut but blanked 7 times. Possession bar a few times for salmon and lingcod but not much else. Never for sharks but I would like to try around hat island. Got any tips? I would appreciate any help. It's a long way to go up there for me.

@@PeelingLine I'm only a beach fisher there are public beachs in Golden gardens, Richmond Beach, Edmonds, whidbey island, anacortes and a great place is quemas island across from anacortes

@@PeelingLine flounder, perch, greenling and bull heads mostly occasionally dog fish, rat fish, ling cod off edmonds pier, and salmon when silvers and pinks are running are good in mukilteo of public beach, Richmond Beach, and Bush point on whidbey

Pretty much anywhere you will catch em I'm headed to Westport next weekend to shark fish off the end of the jetty

@@semperhigh0311 Good luck. It seems a little sketchy on that jetty. Last time I went a guy broke his leg at the end and had to get flown out. Make sure you have a solid landing spot.
