Hi Leah, I don’t know if you’re taking suggestions for videos but I think a comparison/analysis on neurodivergent (specifically the autistic spectrum) handwriting would be very interesting. I mean like how/if it differs from neurotypical handwriting. I myself am on the spectrum, and I would love to give you some samples of my handwriting if needed. A handwriting analysis of the asexual and/or aromantic spectrum could be fun too. I hope you have a good day/night/whatever and great video as always! :)

Oh definitely. And it's weird bc tho ik they're comorbid I've noticed that the boys I've known with autism have pointier, smaller handwriting than those I know with just adhd. Typically their handwriting seems to be more loopy and flowy. And I'd think it varies for girls but I don't know any girls diagnosed with autism or adhd

Keeping a list of my handwriting using my worldbuilding notes (separated by the section in the video) -Traits 1: smaller handwriting 2: declining handwriting (when I don't have lined paper) -Writing Styles 3: threaded writing (when taking quick notes or scribbling something down for later) 4: print (occasion connections, usually involving the letter e, or just when I'm in a bit of a rush) -Pressure 5: pretty heavy (sometime the page rips if I'm writing with a recently sharpened pencil, and when I write with a mechanical pencil the lead breaking a lot) 6: i like to think the space between my words is regular 7: with vertical spacing, it's close enough where it's pretty close, but not colliding 8: my letters aren't narrow -Zones 9: very middle zone dominant (this also has to do with that fact that I write very small) 10: small variation in the lower zone -Physical Mental State 11. forward and backward slant (probably bc I sometimes write with the page rotated a bit, leaving me with slanted writing. 12. occasional large spaces between words (I blame that on the fact that the samples I'm using come from my worldbuilding notes and I have to think about what I want to happen) Please keep in mind that I'm not saying the traits linked to my handwriting were 100% correct, I just wanted to keep note of how what my handwriting looks like using the small differences in this video! :)

Didn't expect to see my tweet at 6:39 lol! For some context about Tatiana, she was incredibly precise, her sisters called her 'the governess' because she would take charge of the family when needed, even though she was not the eldest. She was incredibly dutiful and had a keen sense of responsibility. She was incredibly shy around strangers which was sometimes mistaken for haughtiness, though she opened up as a warm and loving individual to those who knew her. Her diaries are fascinating and SO detailed - during WWI she would write paragraphs about every soldier who she treated that day, their injuries, the surgeries she assisted, and their families.

about the whole cursive vs print thing I only write in print and my girlfriend only writes in cursive. She was taught cursive and her school was not a great place (with the ableism, bullying, and trauma she had to live through, that's an understatement), whereas I was simply not taught cursive. Just felt like sharing this. Edit: Forgot to mention why ableism is mentioned. Not only we (her and I) are autistic, but she also has dyspraxia and ADHD (not sure if AD(H)D is in there, but I know she's dyspraxic). We're both 16, so in primary/elementary, the way autism was perceived is pretty bad, but that's without mentioning how different our schools were. Mine was good for the time, or at least "good enough", whereas hers was outright terrible for her. She says she has experienced some things even her psychiatrist wouldn't believe, such as having someone shove her face close to some mercury in science class (you heard that right), which she claims is the source of her brain damage (seperate from the three aforementioned neurotypes, as they are just a natural variation of the human brain, according to the Neurodiversity model) For some reason, her school was violating a couple of regulations like these and the only reason why no one bothered to complain or sue the school was because it didn't have much money. I feel like I said too much. Either that or I was unclear in certain things, which can be explained by the fact that it all comes from what she told me. I feel like I don't actually need that paragraph explaining the presence of ableism alongside bullying and trauma.

could it be that youre so upset about the thing that you go with a forward slant to express your thoughts about it? maybe u just wanna show that u dont like it? maybe look for another trait in that line or word one time someone i know wrote some names in an optimistic baseline but with a back slant so i guessed that they still like thoes people but they have been hurt by them (and i was told i was correct) so i guess im trying to say its either “ hey im expressing” or some mixed feelings hope that gave u an idea :)

Hey Leah, first of all absolutely love all your videos they are just so informative and entertaining. I have a doubt tho, I have seen many people who write in between lines when writing in a singled lined note book ( does that make sense? I hope so) ,like the letters would appear as it is being written on an imaginary line in between two lines that are , you know, really there.. I am asking this because I too had a handwriting like that when I was in high school but was forced to change my lettering because all my teachers were complaining about it..

I would absolutely loveee to learn more about analyzing languages w different characters I just wouldn't know where the differences zones are, but also-- handwriting analysis is all about seeing how a writer deviates from how they were taught to write, so for me to be able to do a solid analysis, id have to learn like what is standard and what isn't, lol long paragraph- but at least for me, I know how to analyze handwriting that uses the same alphabet as English, regardless of language, but yeah I won't get as good of analyses if the writing doesn't use the same alphabet, but ill try lol

korean has an alphabet, so it’s not exactly characters (however it gets mistaken for characters because of the way the syllables are formed; ‘stacks’ of letters in a syllable block.) this would be very very fascinating to explore as someone learning korean.

As for learning disabilities, I’d say it really depends on how highly they function. For example, by my standard, I’d say I’m quite decently functioning, I’m pretty good with most things (considering I have quite a few learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, etc. Etc) and I went to a school for children who also share similar disabilities so I could get the proper help that I needed. What I noted is that the more higher functioning people were the most space between the words and the more rounded and middle zone dominant they were. If they were lower functioning then they tended to have really spikey handwriting that was very consistent and common in frequency with little to no space between the worlds because they were all joined. But for normally functioning people like not great but not awful their handwriting tends to be spikey at the top and rounded at the bottom, often disconnected but average spacing between the words. But that’s just what I’ve noticed at least.

star formations are interesting, in general/put simply: it indicates aggression. but like in signatures where its done more intentionally/for a stylish reason then its more of an indicator of a facade/vanity, but I have a feeling in your case this is an indicator of aggression. (especially if its more angular in nature, like if its more loopy then id just attribute that to momentum) but of course id have to see it to say for sure, but also see if its in first name or last name bc that can help pinpoint where that energy is coming from. that was a long paragraph lolol but hope that helps :D

One thing you might find is that the tool used to write makes a huge difference. I didn't start writing in cursive regularly until I started using fountain pens, since now that I don't have to use so much pressure to get the pen to write it's the more efficient medium. But until then, I wrote in print. And I go back to writing print when I use ballpoints, too, so it may be worth keeping in mind.

However awkward it might be I can see how the lower zone represents pleasures, because for example my handwriting is on the smaller side, but with big loops in the lower zone, because my hand gets tired of writing and the big loop is my way of relaxing it and relieving tension

What if you had follower's get a piece of handwriting and analyze it themselves send their analysis notes and the handwriting you do your normal analysis video but you compare the points at the end. Graphology is never rlly black and white and different ppl will have different opinions. However also for some of us new to it this could be a cool hands on type of experience. Viewers could write how experienced they feel and you could "correct" them on somethings as well as get a new look possibly a new thing you didn't think of. And of course the other way around. Idk just a thought. You could get some insight and the viewer could yk.

I’m a professor of linguistics and former handwriting analyst (an actual handwriting analyst) for a law enforcement agency, i.e. matching handwriting among suspects. With that said, this is not handwriting analysis as you call it. This is graphology lol. Graphology, while incredibly fascinating and fun, is not supported by science, scientific data, linguistics, law enforcement, medicine, or any branch of psychology including parapsychology. There’s no evidence any of this is credible, no studies have been conducted, no empirical evidence gathered and published. It’s cute. It’s fun. It’s a cool party trick. But none of this would be admissible anywhere from a courtroom to a shrink’s office to a laboratory. If graphology is your interest and you wish to prove it scientifically valid, then maybe try designing and running a formal study. Test your hypotheses, gather the data, then report it through a peer-reviewed publication. That’s how things like this DO get scientific backing and develop credibility that take things from being pseudoscientific to fully scientific; taken seriously instead of as a parlor trick. I honestly think there may be something to all of this, but without data, there’s no proof any of this is real.

what i find rly interesting is that spaces between words in my writing have always been pretty close, even when i was younger my mom would always try to make me have larger spaces by maybe making me rewrite and whatnot but ive also always been introverted and shy as a child and have social anxiety, but im also adaptable. being an infp ive always been very idealistic and though of "what-ifs" and what i want to become and all since i was a kid my upper zone was most dominant, then middle zone so yeah pretty cool!

it would be REALLY interesting to see how my dad’s handwriting is analyzed. he has this tiny micro-scrawl that is practically unreadable to everyone except himself

I’m thinking about writing in a diary for around a year, and learning about graphology during that time. Then, I’ll be able to learn about my own handwriting and get practice, plus I’ll also have some description about what’s happening and how I feel

Hi Leah. Quick question. Isn't alphabet a,d,g in connection supposed to be connected from above, which makes arcade. That actually indicates good hand eye coordination, no? Because writing adg in garland can lead to loops and cuts in adg oval. What's your take?

Question, see if yo u can pull enigma into this. I might ask him separately. What is generally more accurate overall. Hand writing analysis or Body language analysis? I there would be some interesting points in this.
@gailbird5476
@gailbird5476 2 года назад
I would hypothesize that body language analysis is more accurate, since it is more direct and straightforward. A person's handwriting can be influenced by many many factors and taught to them as well. People's body language may defer based on culture, but one's handwriting can defer even based on the schools they went to. Body language is even more subconscious and more 'truthful'/raw than handwriting, more connected with human nature. Yet I would say that even though handwriting analysis may be less accurate, it could probably tell you more about a person's past and the way they function as a human. Whereas body language is more about how a person feels about the situation they are in/the things they are thinking about.

Actually in depends on the country not generation if it comes to cursive. I (born1996)was taught in Poland only writing cursive and moved to USA in 4th grade and I was The only person that could write cursive. Children still in Poland and tought and write only in cursive writing pages of just cursive A,B and all The letters. Children don't even know how to print letters.... i was really schocked when I moved to USA as I was used to connecting every letter and then nobody even cared for my writing. Writing In cursive is as important as math in Poland. I was actually feeling prestige in school in the usa as I really had the most fancy handwriting and looked at others as if they were printing letters as I was in preschool.

This is your first video I've seen. Liked and subscribed. I'm wondering what difference being left-handed makes in handwriting analysis. I know that personally my writing varies according to the type of writing surface I have (such as a right-handed school desk and posture, type of writing utensil.) My writing can be quite pretty using a felt tip marker or gel pen, and good or bad (more often bad) using a ball ink pen, with medium or fine tip making a huge difference. Also often in bound writing books I will write with more of a a forward slant on the left sheet and with a backward slant on the right sheet because it is more comfortable. And of course if I want to on occasion, I can write backwards or backwards upside down, though not neatly. I've struggled all my life to try to have beautiful writing, and these factors usually determine my degree of success or abject failure at various times. I've always wondered how all of this would play into a handwriting analysis.

I was taught cursive in school but I consciously made the choice to switch to a print handwriting, since it requires less of my effort/attention to be legible than my cursive style. My handwriting has almost no 3rd zone so I guess I have no sexual drive :( (Kinda true, though I have an addiction to porn/masturbation ...)

How influenced the way someone holding a pen effect the handwirting? Or what kind of pen ist used? Because I'm holding my pen in a very weird way (like everyone says: "you can write when you hold your pen like this?"). When I'm learning to write, no one of my teachers corrected me and now as an adult it would be really hard to change. The only thing I changed was from switching from cursive to a more printing handwriting, because it was hard to read, what I'm written (also when I normally can read everything I wrote). Now I have a mixed style from mostly printed but also some cursive letters like the big L with to curves or the small f and k with a curve. I like the curvy L more and the f and k looked to similar to the t and h so I changed that. But my way to hold my pen didn't changed, so how does effect that?

I feel kinda confused about my own handwriting as I have been an artist all of my life. I have had to hand draw fonts, letters for commercial signs, windows, chalkboards etc and on my customized artwork too. When I make a list in my own handwriting it is all over the place because of the lettering artist in me. 🤦‍♀️ Am I being fake with my handwriting when I can make it a chameleon knowing how to write/draw/duplicate letters & font styles?🤔

I feel like I have a weird writing style. My handwriting is almost print, but I do some cursive-type writing in it, especially when I write "the" I'll make the "t" almost like the and symbol, and connect it with the "h" and connect the "h" with the "e".

To me I find the baseline theory false, both the act of writing and staying in straight lines has more to do with our THOUGHTS than emotions, and though the two are very much connected, someone can be very sporadic in their thought life (hence why my baseline while writing is all over the place) but the emotions can remain pretty serene (which is me on most days). Edit: Also I have crashing baselines for days and never have I once had suicidal thoughts…I might be the exception but there are a thousand reasons why someone’s handwriting is the way it is and none of this should be taken as orthodox

wow, my ex who had APD had arcaded writing, downward curve, and big loops on the y and g and even r. they had extremely disturbing perversions. needless to say, we aren't together anymore. I knew there was something up with them when I looked at their handwriting, I don't care if people call this pseudoscience, i notice so many patterns that pan out.
