HQ version of an amazing piece composed by Jake Parker for the movie The Life of David Gale All rights belong to Jake Parker & Orchestra, and Universal Classics Group
We spend our whole life trying to stop death. Eating, inventing, loving, praying, fighting, killing. But what do we really know about death? Just that nobody comes back. Then there comes a point - a moment - in life when your mind outlives its desires, its obsessions, when your habits survive your dreams, and when your losses... Maybe death is a gift. You wonder.
Love is real when it is pure, so the quest for love is the search for purity, so many believe that love does not exist and this is because it is easier to deny the existence of something than to continue the search. .
"well" I mean, there is so much more -the song/theme with a lot of meaning. you said u thought its just a soundtrack...;) its David Gale's quote. from the film
It's quite sad that almost everyone knows this piece thanks to Remi. The movie itself is amazing. It deserves be more well known. I recommend everyone to see this movie.
@@tantemarianne7190 I mean it's an interesting character study and the mystery is pretty thrilling imo. It's not preachy with the political message and focuses much more on understanding David Gale rather than his opinion.
@@jadeandjesse5908 Ok, you may have a point with the thrilling-twist-mistery thing. But I think it's very preachy with and blatant with it's message. Don't get me wrong, I'm fully against the death penalty, but i think dead man walking for example did a way better and nuanced job adressing the subject. And just as a movie it's... ok i guess?
There's a youtuber who added music into conversations between commanders for the game "Dawn of War: Dark Crusade". This was one of the songs used; the conversation was between the commanders for the Imperial Guard and the Bloodravens. _Niko Linni_
Why? If someone killed 12 people, the least thing he/she can do is give up their life, even though it won't be enough. They stopped being human once they took a life.
@@real.hatsune.miku.39 Did you watch the movie? It's not about the question if soneone deserves death for a heinous crime. It's about the question if you can always 100% prove, that someone did a certain crime. There is always human error and the killing of innocents can not be the price for the killing of guilty criminals, even if it's better for society to have them killed.
You know, I'm sad that this actor has been written off from everywhere, he has been drowned by a media sea that left him no escape. Whether guilty or innocent. We, human beings, are made of light and darkness, and sometimes too much darkness cannot be forgiven. But I think the way this man was able to convey emotions to other human beings, through his work, his passion, also showed a part of the blinding light that burns within him.
general alexander, this is your last chance. we purge this world under the authority of the chapter master and the blood ravens. withdraw your men to orbit and our conflict can still end peacefully.
To be honest I haven't watched the movie, but this soundtrack is so calming and yet so disquieting, but not in a bad way, one would probably call it saddening, it's hard to describe the feeling. And yes, Remi brought me here and I thank him for that. And thank you Siddharta for uploading this.

Best movie ever , it’s the same story of mine . I was separated from my 2 daughters . And I left them a fortune. Life has no meaning without them. Still l have a fortune to leave , and then who gives a shit.........
I feel this theme can go well with a Holocaust movie. The emotional devastation that this song seeks to masterfully convey goes well with that theme. I feel it should be made the hymn of all human sufferings and forgotten victims of human cruelty.
Personally I think death is a thing of life and of our existence, certainly when you lose someone dear it hurts really bad I know what I'm talking about, but I think it's useless to pray or to blame your god asking him why, why him or her. Keep your head up even if it's awful I know... I prayed several times to die so much I was in pain! But mtn I still have so much pain but I live with it since I was born I'm used to it it's hard to say but it's true
