My grandpa fighted ww2 japanese and nazist he is fighting 5years and he lost one arm and left eye most people looks him ugly but he is true hero i love you grandpa from Mongolia 1921-2014

@@Dustz92 Movie was Good until it actually Started, before the attack the Charakters Had developement etc. but after and during the attack it was just like and Michael bay Movie, Bad.
I listened to this soundtrack on CD every single night on repeat falling asleep during high school and it is still one of my favorites of all time. It brings me such peace and happiness 😊 ❤ And interestingly enough, my husband of almost 10 years flies in the Air Force. My very own hero 💙
Friend, here I am listening and crying with emotion, at night, on April 6, 24. This music settles between the heart and the soul, and it never leaves, it will always be there. Greetings.!
i could swear, if Howard Shore would keep his work up, just like he did with the lord of the rings, he would be second but after 7 years of carefully listening i doubt, there is any second to hans zimmer
I might be in the minority, but I thought this movie was just okay. But, the music doesn’t disappoint, and it’s an emotional punch to the gut that makes me feel a weird nostalgia. The almighty Hans Zimmer never disappoints with any of his film scores. A modern maestro. ✨💛
My father passed away a little over a week ago. He got into a mid air collision with another crop duster. This song brings me to tears thinking about him. RIP dad Edit: this was one of his favorite movies of all time
I remember watching this movie when I was 19 years old in the movie theater there was so many people crying when it finished including myself it was such a classic and underrated move brings back so many memories
The only way to describe Hans Zimmer's music to somebody is to just play some of it. There's nothing to say. His works have given significance to so many movies. It's all so refined and complete, it's out of this world.
WTH happened to great movies like this/Forrest Gump/Shawshank Redemption/The Green Mile?? Remember? Those heartfelt mid-late 90s/early 2000s masterpieces with such a moving soundtrack that would bring tears to your eyes? I just don't feel that kind of emotion anymore in movies nowadays!
Remembering my father. We used to watch movies. Horror, war, comedy ect... This one was one of his favorites. The planes, escenography. We were fans of history. I will never forget you Rafi 😢🖤
Nearly 23 years after this soundtrack came out, and particularly this piece, I still continue to be in love with this. We reunite like old friends, never missing a beat.

Been my favorite movie since I was a little kid. Always wanted to go visit the harbor since I saw this when I was 7 or 8. Now 13 years later, I'm stationed at an army base in Honolulu, less than a mile away from the shipyard 🙌
This songs brings tears to my eyes and I didn't even lose anyone in Pearl Harbor, hell I'm not even an American but the music is just so powerful it hits your right in the feels.
+Webbs What a Nation we were just 50-60 years ago, what happened to us... God help us when we have another war... really we won't stand a chance, with many of our hard left Anti-American Youth..... And youth (being a young person myself) crying over "safe spaces in college" - Good Lord, and God Help Us!!
My Grandfather flew over Berlin and was flying planes on D-day. He actually got in the paper, because he shot down the most planes in his squad. I have the cut out of the article. "Small town Wisconsin boy shots down most in his squad." That was in the local paper that day. This song makes me think of him. 1916-2015
In the movie president, Roosevelt says: "We've been trained to think we're invincible. And now our proudest ships have been destroyed by an enemy we considered inferior". And that is so much true but America forgot that again. You should not think you're the greatest because you can bleed too. We have seen it at pearl harbor and on 9/11. When will you begin to see that being proud of actions in wars is not the right way? The Japanese general in the movie says something wise you should learn: "A brilliant man would find a way not to fight a war". Greetings from a German
My thoughts exactly. He has the capacity of gracing hearts and chilling spines with his haunting compositions. My dream is to see him perform with an orchestra.
Allison Murphy MERCI MERCI MERCI BEAUCOUP 👍👍👍👍👍! Thank you SO much for informing me about it. Hope he'll be in Paris (even London, IDKW but I'll have to go out there and see him perform)
+Allison Murphy Thank you so much for informing about this in the comments! I HAVE to go to one of these concerts - looks like the closest to me, is in Hamburg.. Again: thank you SO MUCH! I am literally FLYING of joy right now! THANK YOU!! Mange tak! (Danish)
It's because of all the historical inaccuracies and the heavy romantic subplot that audiences think is what makes the film terrible. But despite all that, many people think otherwise and see the action scenes as what actually happened and my opinion of this movie is in between. I think this score would make a great choice for a story like Grave of the Fireflies, if it were told from the American's perspective. Seeing what the pilots of the XXI Bomber Command did to Akiyuki Nosaka (Seita) and his sister would only make them realize how wrong war is.
Jake Rutigliano I don't think this would fit a film like Grave of the Fireflies very well. Granted, I haven't watched Pearl Harbor, but I have heard its a bad movie.
I don't think it's a bad movie at all. It's only a bad movie if you watch it expecting it to be action packed and mainly about the war.. The director himself said that it was first and foremost a love story not a movie about war. It's way different from any other war movie that's why I think some people hate it, because they watch it expecting to watch a movie about war, it's not.
schoonya14 Then they should have renamed the movie to something else, and not have allocated a lot of time for the air raid on Pearl harbor, and the subsequent bombing of Tokyo. These two themes don't go together. Romance doesn't belong in war films.
This is so beautiful. I started crying before the music even started. I was so happy for my granddaughter. She played in her high school band and the whole band was invited to play at Pearl Harbor. It was such a wonderful and emotional experience for all of the band members. If you ever have a chance to hear the band from Tullahoma, TN you would see how amazing this band is.
+pigkillerz187 your comment is basically the same as telling us all how much of a scared little girl you are. Day one week one psychology mate. Only a person who has no confidence in their own sexuality and manhood would say what you just said. No point in even trying to argue with me. Speak to a shrink mate and God bless you. Must be difficult been you!
I'm thankful for Hans Zimmer being a musician... I don't know, sometimes destiny can make an awesome musician into an average lawyer, and an awesome engineer into a bad actor, for example. Hans Zimmer was born to do what he does.
My dad died January and it was a very hard time for me and my family, and this song touches my heart so deeply i could cry. RIP to all Soldiers 😢 Should be peace on the whole world
My son’s grandfather served in the Korean War aboard a gearing class destroyer USS Norris DDE-859. He is still alive today. His daughter always enjoys it when I come over to visit him and his wife. Hearing this soundtrack just makes me tear up as I know he is nearing the end of his long and healthy life. He still has a few more years to go, but damn, this soundtrack makes me tear up. *IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO SERVED* *IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO SERVED ABOARD USS NORRIS DDE-859*
I am serving Pakistan army as Captain. Its been 3 years i am fighting talibans, I watched my friends die in front of my eyes their faces keep coming into my mind and this track finally made me cry.
Your friends never died, sir. They've started their blissful eternal life.Though the bereavement of parting is excruciating, no one can deny that. I speak on the behalf of our nation, that in life and death, you're our heroes, to whom we can never be thankful enough. God bless you, your family and friends. #PakArmyZindabad #PakistanPaindabad
We are all in this together like a big family , we are like brothers and sisters , just that many people doesn t see this way . Stand strong sir ! God Bless you and your friends !
Adolf Hitler’s Cousin Doug japan attacked american MILITARY. america attacked japanese CIVILIANS. Theres a huge difference. Yes, pearl harbour was a sneak attack and they had no right to attack, but the difference in magnitude between the 2, makes the pearl harbour attack seem like nothing
Growing up this is one of the memories I hold near and dear to me, my mom showed me this movie and we just had this special connection to it. Since December 7th just passed, I decided to show my beautiful fiancé this movie and not only did she love it, but we both cried when *SPOILER ALERT* Danny dies. I told her that Hanz Zimmer is my favorite Composer and that the soundtrack to this movie in some weird way makes you feel every scene and how beautiful and raw it is. Not only is this movie criminally underrated, but the score to this movie is perfect.
This song is so touching to the heart, I don’t know how it does it. I know it’s not true, and I can’t explain why, but this song makes me feel like i have lived other lives before and this song describes the aggregation of every feeling and experience I have ever had either good or bad and all at once , which gives me total peace and calmness.
I know that the film is heartbreaking, but I must say this. I do not cry, it's more like that this gives me hope, that one day we will live in a better world. At New year the world celebrates that the date has changed. I'm waiting for the day, when the world changes
We definitely are living in a different world now compared to what it was during the world war, today may not still be the perfect world, but it is progress. Lets just hope a war like world war 1 or 2 never happen again.
This song will forever being tears to my eyes, my dad died on Christmas day 2013, I add watched pearl harbor on the 24th, so this is the last movie I have ever seen with my dad , and this music is so touching and sad. I wanna be the dad that he was for my 2 son's
@Provenia Evermi "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." ~ John 3:16 💒
@Provenia Evermi "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed." ~ John 3:17-20 💒
@Provenia Evermi "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ." ~ Colossians 2:8 💒
I know this is several year later but I listen to this at least 10 times a day and cry over it every single time 😞 this is such a good song and my heart goes out to anyone that died from Pearl Harbor and/or lost a family member/ friend from this 🙏❤️
never watched that movie but I love the soundtrack and every time I listen to it I feel kinda of sad happy alive type of feeling it's indescribably beautiful
They gave this movie a lot of grief. I loved everything about it, the music, the acting, the themes. It felt like it caught a lot of the feelings and emotions of the time.
Hans Zimmer was a magician. I love that movie and it's music, I still watch it about once monthly. 'I just wanna know why, why? Rafe, I'm pregnant'. I didn't know until the day you returned.
