Visited Alnwick last Fall from Houston, TX by way of a train ride out of Edinburgh. Spent three days there. We had an amazing time. Saw the castle, the gardens and spent a couple days simply walking around and frequenting many of the quaint shops and eateries around town. Also, Barters books was really fun. The people were so nice! In many ways we really felt at home and were sad to have to leave.
Fantastic to hear. Hopefully you can visit again. You may enjoy this film about Alnwick from late last year: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UhMk9-mhNZs.htmlsi=aBNs6U6F5rKTpUFS
The curse of the internet age. Whatever the benefits of modern IT, the fact that it stopped us from reaching out to one another and having close contact is a major negative and something I abhor. The idea of actually going out and meeting people, of slapping backs and shaking hands, instead of staring like a lobotomised moose in the headlights at whatever bilge Netflix is repeating tonight.... revolutionary idea almost, isn't it?
I m trying to read the lady at 18:18 is she upset that she did not get to do it because her husband said no or is she upset that they asked her husband but she would not of done it anyway maybe a little do both🤔🤷♂️.
