I had a little down time while the booth was getting set up to record at Studios 301 in Sydney with Dizz1. Sam Cooke is one of my all-time favorite artists and the theme of this amazing song is testament to the fact that I even have the luxury to travel the world and experience half of what I do. Here's to 2010 and the changes yet to come!

When I heard Aloe Blacc sing his song, " I Need A Dollar ", this song came to mind. All I can say is that he did it justice ! And who knows, somewhere in heaven, Sam Cooke just hit the replay button.

Sam Cooke is my favorite artist of all time, his voice can brings tears to my face and brighten up my day. This is my favorite song of all time and I have been wondering if anyone could ever come close to properly singing it and this made me smile ear to ear I stood up and was in awe...Not Sam but OH MY, beautiful. as a huge sam cooke fan i love this song and damn @aloeblacc you really took this and made it your own. you can hear in your voice that you truly identifty with it and thats necessary to make a cover "work," although in this case thats a bit of an understatement. truly beautiful, it honestly brought me to tears. keep doing what youre doing because the skys the limit for you my man

I was bartending the governors ball a couple years ago when I was blessed to hear him sing this song live in honor of Spike Lee receiving a life achievement award and wish that would find its way to the public cuz I’ve never heard anyone sing it like he did that night with a full Orchestra backing him up. Please someone release that recording cuz I can honestly say I’d pay for that and can’t remember the last time o payed for music. I think it was one of those 8 cds for a penny deal which I need to add was the beginning of what is now my poopie credit.
