Yay, I love aloe! I’ve tried it as a single styler but my absolute favorite way to use it is in combination with mousse. Makes my hair very soft and bouncy, like you said! It also feels more lightweight than a normal gel.
My hairdresser just recommended aloe gel for my hair to help retain my waves. Decided to look it up ahead of time because I'm curious how it ends up. Looks gorgeous, so I'm very excited to try it out.
Yes I love aloe 😍, I grow my own aloe in home. It is a awsome scalp and hair treatment. I cut the leaf off and also take the sharp edges off with a knife. Its then that I cut it down the middle and then rub directly onto my scalp, after I apply to my length. Place a cap on and leave sit for 30 mins, wash off and done. Shinny conditioned hair and scalp 🙌🏼😀. Ps your results were beautiful.
@@JordanFaith your welcome and thank you for another video 😃. Also check your local grocery store. I have noticed some are selling giant individual leaves for home remedies.
@@jennywellman3025 perfect, when it's ready you will love having your own supply😃. Plus they are a beautiful exotic addition to any decor. Everyone is always complimenting and shocked by the size of my aloe. I really had no idea it would get so large 😆.
I am late to the party as usual. Where I lived, nobody had aloe vera and the leaves are not sold in stores. I moved back home a year ago to an area that suffered a drought and water restrictions a few years ago. So people planted aloes. Everybody here has some kind of Aloe. In our garden I found 6/7 soap aloe plants. There are now 15. I use it to wash my hair. Along the road I found 3 BUSHES of aloe vera. So I started making my own styling gel with aloe vera gel/juice and xanthan gum. My hair is thriving. I couldn't help feeling what if I am wrong? I saw a few channels against aloe vera gel for hair. ..... About 3 and so far I must have found 70+ singing its praises. But you know some people are so negative and there's something wrong with everything we do. I have been curly girl for about half my life. A lot of the process was things I had already been doing but these days I don't follow it strictly. So thanks for this vid. Let me go aloe hunting. My nephew calls me the Aloe Bandit.I have enough aloe vera gel in the freezer for several months. Everyony who knows me brings a leaf or 2 should they see it somewhere. Plus it grows wild down the road
I know you said your curls had fallen some, but I love the way it looks! I’m going to have to try it out! I love watching your videos because I started my journey the same month you did.
The Maui Moisture Vanilla Bean shampoo and conditioner are the best smelling products I have ever used. I wish the scent lasted after being rinsed out.
I never even thought to try aloe. I have found nothing gives as good of hold as whipped egg whites. I keep trying other gels, but never can recreate the hold I get with the egg white. It makes my curls not get stretched out and so elongated and I can easily make it 6-7 days before washing again, compared to 3-5 days with traditional products.
Loved the video, your hair still looked great and I loved your results despite it being the end of the day 😍 I haven't tried aloe yet, if I do I think it'll be in summer as during winter my hair isn't a big fan of protein and if aloe can be a mimicker but hair might not like it too much right now 🤭
Thank you! I recently added self-adhesive wallpaper to my shower walls to give it the appearance of marble. The wall is classic red brick painted grey 😊
Aloe is great in my hair yet this brand foams up in my hair as I use it as a leave in for curly hair. Do you believe polysorbate has anything to do with this? Also, yes! Coconut oil does not work well in my hair
can i use the up and up aloe vera gel? not the one you have , but the green bottle. the one that says that it has alcohol. is that the same or is that bad? should I use it? can I also use that one for my face?
I would probably personally avoid using any with alcohol, especially if it’s high on the ingredient list, for hair or skin as it could potentially be drying. I haven’t tried aloe on my face, but I also typically like to avoid fragrances in my skincare and I believe the green one is fragranced
