You can make smoothies with it as its good for digestion, gurd and IBS. Some people just take thin slice and goes down easily follow with orange juice its kills the after taste. If you use only the gel its not so bitter.
I am a new plant mom. I inherited a few prayer plants from my late mother and I recently purchased an aloe plant and I wanna help it grow. Please keep us posted on your plant journey
OMG finally a video that gets to the point and actually gives god info. Every other one I’ve seen are boring to watch and I derive nothing from it. Thank you for the great info!
It's the crown in my garden. I have several and have planted, and saved, many more and given away countless. I live in the Caribbean, so it's easy for me to maintain them. They just want to be, and the bigger the better.
Girl I love how much positive you are , I’m from Germany and I thank you a lot , because I have first time one Aloe Vera and I will try my best to, thank you 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
My mom kept the aloe Vera plant in basement for like 5 months and the plant is in really bad shape so I am watching these type of vids and learning because I heard it’s really good for ur skin. .YOUR VID WAS AMAZING THANKS.
Hello-- Michigan here. I literally just brought my plant inside. I repotted it New potting soil. No name brand. I placed it by the sliding patio door! It did sooo well outside. It about as big as the one she is showing. I'm praying it all works out. Fingers/eyes crossed.
Just purchased 2 small aloe plants and your vid definitely gave great instructions how to grow one. Was wondering about how much to water them but you answered that question. Enjoyed the vid.
I have killed a few. One thing that has helped me is to know when the plant’s dormant season and growing season is. Not all succulents are the same. Some grow in the winter time and some have a summer growing season. When a succulent is in it’s dormant season it needs less water and less light than during it’s growing season. Find a succulent site that lists the growing season. If you do not know what the name of your succulent is then try to identify it and match it to the list.
I love that you are not giving up on trying to care for plants and you got another aloe plant despite killing two. I am a new subscriber here, I love plants but have killed so many already, most recently I killed a basil plant I bought from the grocery store. I thought I would get basil for life but it barely lasted a couple of weeks :(
Hi Sabrina! Welcome! Aww don't worry, basil can be difficult, many herbs in general at times. Yes, I love having aloe veras, crazy how it took 4 to get the care right lol. The first two aloes I had simultaneously so they dwelt together and died together. RE-live and learn 💚
I put all my plants outside during the daytime. I’m in a good spot for sunshine. I even do the same for my snake plant and venus fly traps. I give them the vip treatment. And your correct aloe vera is a go to medical plant. I had used the gel I had for a wound and mixed it with peroxide.
@@olgurl9857 does light hit the top of your fridge? A plant stand is best, that way. you can access the plant easier and avoid dust collecting up higher.
I leave mine on the window sill and forget about it. It loves it and got 2 pups as well from it. I water about once a month or less frequently. I am quite lucky, I live in the South UK. Once I put it out in the sun but it was too strong and started to turn red, then I overwatered it and the leaves got soggy, but it survived. It is about 4-5 years old
You have inspired me to try this plant again. I have one i plan to salvage (she is not dead yet...) Im going to water FAR less frequently this time around and will give her some light cycle(s) to make sure she stays happy this time. Great video.
Thank you for watching! Absolutely, they are worth giving another try. This aloe is still going strong, it is on a summer vacation outside, and it is a lot bigger now. 💚
This is my 2nd time watching this video and it seems like I learn something each times. I can't believe that I have 7 variety of aloes and they are still alive after 1 year. I'm a newbie to plants. I must be doing something right. My favs are succulents and cacti. I wish I had a greenhouse or a yard to really experience my miniature green thumb, so I have everything under grow lights. When I first got this one particular aloe it was a dark green, now it's lighter in color. I'm just wondering am I doing something wrong?
This may sound crazy but I just heavily water my Aloe every 3- 4 months (to mimic desert like conditions). I had it 5 years now and I keep it in my south facing window. It gets soo much heat and sun all year around, that it turned Blue lol.
I love how you hold the aloe vera like a baby! I love the pot you are using and your explanation is very good. Thank you for sharing your failures and your exciting win. Do you have to put less soil? Is that why she is tilting and moving?
He's my big baby 🤗thank you for watching, I'm happy you enjoyed it. Sometimes they tilt with whichever direction the sunlight is. I do try to. nudge the soil to help balance it out in hopes of it not leaning too much and becoming unbalanced.
Hello friend... Great video... I have 2 plants in my garden...My mom . Usually makes alle vera hair oil to prevents hair fall... Immunity booster too...I appreciate your content you selected....Keep sharing...Iam a new member in your family...Have a great day y friend..
I loved this! Even though I don't have an aloe vera, I still learned two things for my current plants. Which I need since I do tend to kill off my plants slowly but surely. Thanks for sharing:)
In the winter time is the light in the house good enough for the plants if you don't have alot of sunshine coming in? Thanks so much for sharing Amen May God always bless and keep you going strong and healthy full of life Amen Thanks again God bless ya
Hi thanks for watching. In the fall and winter, try to place your aloe in a room with a south facing window, south facing windows are sunniest during the winter time in the northern hemisphere. Hope this helps!
I love aloe vera plants but I can't grow them. I've killed every aloe vera plant that I've purchased no matter where I've purchased it from. It can be from Home Depot, Lowes, Food Lion, Walmart, etc they've all died!! I've realized that I under water mine (I really don't water it at all) and it doesn't get much sun. When it's outside it burns when it's inside, it doesn't get enough light🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ I'm trying to save the one I have. It has only 3 thin stems on it that are and dull green. It has given me baby aloe twice and they died too. I have it sitting in a cup of water hoping to help revive it. I purchased a NEW aloe vera plant on Feb 9, 2021.....wish me luck & a prayer cause I'll need it!!! 😁
Absolutely! Thank you for watching and welcome! 💚I hope the video was helpful. I don't water mine at all indoor, and it sits right at a sunny window. Be sure to use cacti/succulent soil. Best wishes, keep me updated. I'm happy to help! 💚
Aloe Vera is just so amazing and has so many uses, but I've never been able to make friends with one LOL. I hope by using your tips I will be able to change my luck 🌱♥️
Loved your video and tips - I didn't know you could do much to protect the aloe veral plants at winter. Newly subscribed- looking forward to more videos like these!

Hi there, and thank you so much! Yes I would be happy to make more videos on aloe vera. This plant is so wide and top heavy now! I really need to repot it lol. I will do an update on it soon.💚
@@greenmable475 💚 No Problem Girl! I Love Your Videos, I’ve Watched All I Can With Your Aloe In Them And Your House Plant Tours 🙂 So Yesss I’ll Be Waiting!! Lol
Hi! I’ve had my aloe plant for awhile now, it’s still in its original nursery container that’s about 3 inches tall. The leaves look healthy but I’m noticing that since it’s been growing some leaves aren’t as firm and are falling backwards. I’m wondering if it’s outgrown its pot and maybe needs more soil so I just wanted to know when you recommend getting a bigger pot? Thanks! 🙂
Yes, repot. Mine is spreading too, and is long overdue for repot because the pot falls over without support with it being fall/winter, now may not be the best time. I recommend waiting until the spring to repot.
Aww. Mine is actually not doing too hot right now because it has outgrown that green pot by so much, leaves are falling out of it as I speak. I will be working on an update video on repotting an overgrown aloe very soon.
I just got an aloe Vera plant. It’s a small one. I have some incredible south facing windows I think it will thrive in. Thank you for your tips. I will be getting a pot for it like you showed. I’m very nervous about it but I’m giving it my best shot!
Hi Amanda! Thank you for watching AND commenting! 💚 absolutely! I recently placed my aloe outdoor for the spring and summer since the weather is pretty warm where I am. The selfwatering pot works amazing for this plant. Happy growing!
I liked the video sis but you could have recommended some of your best soils and maybe so good nutrients. Thanks for the video though. I know now not to over water thanks 😊
I have my aloe in a plastic pot and it's doing great. I just brought it in the house for winter. I built my own soil with vermiculite to lighten it and for drainage. Fyi: the rings under your plastic pots are areas to punch for drainage. Since it's inside now... I think I need to put a saucer and rocks under it to mimic the self watering you have. It started turning white... Not enough light. I bought a grow light hoping it works. Do you know if grow lights are effective for them? I'm new to growing aloe.
