The service pokemon really make it seem like HMs are gone, which I hope to God is true. They cover the major ones; surf, rock smash, fly, strength, and probably dive and waterfall.
I'd rather fly with whatever flying type i want than be forced to use a small number of them that I might not even want to use. I don't want to fly around on Charizard when I have a fully evolved Rowlet to fly on.
Basically, there are multiple trials on each Island you have to pass before going on to the next Island. The trial Captains are the ones responsible for the trials on each island which vary from tests of intelligence, resource gathering etc'... At the end of each Island's trial you'll face the Kahuna, who are the leaders of their respective islands and kind of like the Elite Four.
4:39 one of the best memes I've ever seen. Even after 4 years.👌🏼 I watch your reaction videos regularly, especially since I miss the 3DS era with Gen6&7 already and Sword and Shield are a disaster, compared to all previous generations, in my opinion.
Totem Pokemon seem like "boss battles" to me. A beefed up Pokemon in a handicap 1 v 2 match at the end of the trial. But 4 islands, 4 totem Pokemon trials, 4 trial captains, 4 kahunas, it's just a redone gyms and elite four The Service Pokemon is rumored to be the replacement of HMs. No more Cutting, Strengthing, Flying, Surfing, Rock Smashing etc, you just call for a service Pokemon and they send you one to rent to do the job. Also btw I love your earrings lol
The reason for Sandshrew is because the usual habitat it stays in, a dry desert, is all volcanic in Alola. As such, they had to move to the mountains, which are likely also very dry since it would be the biggest reason why they'd move there. It's actually the more fascinating of the Alola Forms I've seen so far.
I love watching your reactions at 6:30 in the morning :3 Oricorio are more like finches to me. Hey, for the Z-moves did anyone notice that the poses/dances reflected the type symbol?
It actually snows in Hawaii, especially on the mountains and inactive volcanoes. Hawaii even has snow goddesses. So it's not too weird for it to have Ice Types.
Hey +PinkMushroom can you go through each Pokemon entries on the official sun and moon website and give your thoughts on them. Some of them are really interesting.
I think the trail leaders are the Elite four and the kokunas or whatever they are, are the gym leaders to me that makes sense since there are four trail leaders and even though they only shows one kokuna it said kokunas which means there will be more so that's just my theory. Also I'm adding the Dancing Ghost bird pokemon on to my "Pokemon to capture" list next to Salandit and Mimicyu because those are the only three I really like. (Except for the starters, they look pretty cool. Except Poptart aka Poplio or whatever.)
Everyone has been saying that of the Yungoos line but yeah it just got moreso. I know it's somehow supposed to be a detective but it doesn't look like one and even the description is more hunter/stalker. The idea of the trials sounds like in the first Ranger game.
Appearance wise, some people have seen Gumshoos' design as him wearing a trench coat and the Donald Trump hair as a detective cap. Also, the word Gumshoe is a term for an old detective.
+The Boring Boy I know gumshoe is a term for a detective but I don't see anything visually in common, and the behavior doesn't say detective to me either.
+BJGvideos actually it does, detectives try to catch bad guys, it has the ability stakeout, which is actually a term used for which is a "period of secret surveillance of an building or are by police in order to observe someone's activities" which is basically what Gumshoe does waiting for its prey to come along.
Wow Pokemon has changed so much since I played it as a kid 🙀🙀 This new stuff looks amazing 😻😻. I'm definitely gonna get back into it but I am sooooo far behind 😭
Fomantis and Lurantis are based on the praying mantis. Hence the -antis part of the name. Don't know why they're not Bug type, but that's what the name and design are based on.
There's 4 Trial Captains, 4 Totem Pokémon and 4 Kahunas which makes 12 Leaders/Challenges. This Game will probably have it's own equivelant of an Elite Four and of course, an Island Challenge Champion who you will have to fight at the end!
I think Gumshoos meant to look like an old wisened man, and the hair on top is meant to be a hat that is common for older men to wear. Also Gumshoe, is actually a different way of calling someone a Detective.
Trial Captains AND Island Kahunas, also it's a nice change of pace, Pokémon's needed a formula change and as a long time Pokémon fan I think it's for the best plus it's most likely only for Gen 7, just to shake things up
My reaction to Alola Exeggutor is like everyone's reaction to Mega Slowbro. A lot of people seemed to dislike Mega Slowbro because it looked so derpy, but I've heard no hate on Alola Exeggutor. I wish that wasn't the first Alola form I had to see because I had doubts for the idea from it. It's Grass/Dragon though, which is a fun type. The other forms are fine, I don't like the frizziness of Alola Ninetales a lot but that's just a nitpick.
