Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon - ALOLA (DELTA?) FORMS, Z-MOVES, NEW POKEMON?! - REACTION & THOUGHTS 

Alolan form pokemon are found in alola, there is no form switching, the only way to get the normal forms of these pokemon is to transfer them from previous games

I think its cool that pokemon evolved differently around the world. Makes sense.

I don't get why everybody is freaking out about Exeggcutor Alola form.... it's a fricking royal palm tree. Alola is a tropical region so expect palm trees and lots of colourful pokemon.

From the pokemon website, it seem that these form are regional form difference for these pokemon, an extreme case of Shellos. These pokemon has adapted to the different habitat and evolve (Darwin kind) to fit in with new habitat. It mirror the real life, after islands are seperate from the continent, animals that live on the island evolve differently from the same specie that is on the mainland.

It seems like Pokémon Sun & Moon are going for Darwin's Theory thingy. A same creature can live on different places, but they will have differences between them because of the environment (e.g. African elephants vs Asian elephants). So, in Alola, bc of the very different landscape compared to previous regions, some Pokémon have changed forms to fit and better survive. Pokémon Sun/Moon? More like Pokémon Darwin!

Not many old reaction videos for Sun and Moon. Glad yours are still up, though. This was a really exciting time for me, I was just getting back into Pokemon. I had bought a 2DS and rented Pokemon Y, so I was ready to keep playing and I had pre-ordered Pokemon Sun and ordered a copy of Pokemon Omega Ruby to play once I got on break from college and went home. When I did get home, I spent so much time playing Sun that I wasn't even interested in playing ORAS, despite Sapphire being my first (personally owned and heavily played) game and the start of my interest in Pokemon. I was excited to play it, but Sun was new, a completely fresh take on Pokemon and turned out to be a *lot* of fun, so I just put off Omega Ruby until later and only really started it a little bit here and there while I focused on finishing up Sun and messing around in it. Ken Sugimori was the creative director for the new Alolan form designs, apparently. Helped oversee the designs, which explains a lot because I really like the Kantonian Pokemon in their new(er) Alolan forms. The Sandslash and Ninetales lines in particular are just really cool and are still up there as one of my favorite all-time designs and easily among my top 5 favorite regional forms. There was a lot of criticism about the games being too dialogue-heavy and hand-holding the player too much, and certainly that is annoying on a replay, but not by much. I still love Alola and I'm on my third (and fourth) replays as we speak, playing them side-by-side to prepare for shiny-hunting Type: Null in both saves since I had the copies and just really felt like it. USUM annoyed me on release, but one thing I will give it credit for is bringing back ORAS-style legendary Pokemon hunts. Grabbed so many shinies in them that I wish I could hunt in Sun and Moon, but it's fine... plenty of SOS chain hunts I can do that I'm excited about.

I think the alola form is a truly brilliant idea because it is like different types of the same species but due to the fact they live in a different area they have evolved slightly differently.....brilliant idea.

Its sick how on Bloom Doom the environment was all rocky and dark and shit but when Rowlet used Bloom Doom it started growing all these plants and shit everywhere and it became sunny and there were flowers all over the floor

No, we won't be able to change from Alola Form Pokemon to the regular ones (or vice versa). It's the result of Darwinism (believe that's the correct term?). This isn't even the first time we see this sorta thing, what with Shellos/Gastrodon existing (even if that difference only is cosmetic. Still a different form you can't change and depends on where it lives) Also while changing the type, ability, and whatever stat differences there are between the forms (the pokemon website mentioned that this sanshrew/sanslash is heavier and slower than the ordinary form for example) should be simple enough, I can't even imagine the headache that comes with the movepools. Vulpix/Ninetales don't even currently learn any Ice/Fairy type moves (aside from Baby-Doll Eyes).

Mmmmm I don't call alolan exeggutor alolan exeggutor. I just call it exeggutor. Now the exeggutor from first gen I call kantonian exeggutor. Why? Because all the alolan form Pokemon came from kanto and adapted to alola while exeggutor is the opposite case - it originated from alola and adapted to kantos less tropical climate

Luke, if you didn't already know, Z-Moves are based on if the Pokemon has a move of the same type. For example, if you teach Snorlax Thunderbolt and give him an Electric Z-Crystal, it can use Gigavolt Havoc

I'm pretty sure that Gumshoose is supposed to reference Detective Gumshoe, a typical name for a detective. The fur is the jacket, the hair is supposedly a detective's hat and it's stance looks really formal.

On Serebii it says Z Moves Following on from Mega Evolution, Pokémon Sun & Moon introduces a whole new mechanic which once again utilises a ring on the trainer's wrist. What does it mean following from?

One thing to note is that marowak is likely either getting an alola form, or maybe even a mega form, becoming a fire type of some sort given the description oh the sun and moon site with that fire trainer guy who's going to quiz you on your knowledge of dancing.

Bird Keeper toby and Spequtor made a vid how each island has a color and have found the names of each island and oricorio confirms this theory because its colors are the exact same for the theorized islands colors

You change form with Oricorio (or however it is spelt) by letting it drink sap on one of the Islands. It's orginal form is the fire/flying type.

Also, the Totem Pokemon seem to have their own battle theme.

I think with the islands and gym thing in this...it reminds me a bit of the Orange Islands from the TV show. Ash battled I think two of them...the others were like shoot the targets and (my favorite) make a sled and race. So maybe it's like that with them...ish...kinda?

I think these aloha forms show these certain pokemon have branch off from its normal selves and adapted into a new environment aka the Aloha islands.

i think the Z moves are like an anti-sweep move,since you can only have 1 pokemon use them once per battle,and they happen like mega evolutions,before the enemy can use their attack,making sweeping more difficult to pull off
