"EEL Gate"...watching that scene broke my heart. All freshwater fish species require a landing net because they are slimy, particularly eels. None-the-less, your journey is excellent TV. I'd love for you to do a Q & A. Thanks for putting up this recap.

@Kevin Hart (a) have you ever fished for eel? In all respect mate, I suspect you have not. I'm not sure why you're so quick to comment with your critical analysis on actual participants of this show, when you are clearly set as a frontrunner for season 9 (or 10). (b) why are you so critical of the current Australian contestants, when your sure to have a go of you own? (c) will your compromised hight/fat ratio be a disadvantage to your longevity as a contestant? This Q & A was going to be about Mike, but here's the mike Kev. Take it away.
@melatomic
@melatomic Год назад
@Kevin Hart Hi There Kev. I'm a campfire girl from way back,...You done several stints "in the hole"? Is your crim record preventing you from being a contestant? I dunno mate,...despite this, I still reckon you could knock out something that could be published for dollars. Yes Kevin, I will claim that you would find it very difficult to step on an eels head, possible but extremely difficult. If you were familiar with our freshwater eels, you would know this.

When you lost that eel, the suspense was high and I was like, "WHYY MIKE!!" should have got him straight in your hands and ripped his head off!! Didn't see the slope though :) Loving the show, great to see you are having some more success this week. I wonder why you haven't set up a number of snare traps (as many as pos) and also why you aren't running more fishing lines around the clock? Also, did you consider putting out food and just waiting with a spear for possums?
@OutbackMike
@OutbackMike Год назад
All of those suggestions are good but they were all against to the rules.
@fireheart6660
@fireheart6660 Год назад
@Outback Mike Sounds like the rules made actual survival pretty restrictive. I suppose snares were not allowed due to animal welfare, which is why you created an elaborate net trap. Man, this would have made things much harder for you.

Hey Mike, I thought everyone would target yabbies as an easy food source, speaking to others and they thought the same thing. I googled and found that fishing yabbies is illegal in tas, might be worth touching on that topic if this was they case. Cheers.

Dude your Eel adventures have been hilarious, hope to see more of that. Your smoker was something I had not seen before, nice solution. Eels dude, I'm kind of curious why it took you so long to figure out, I would have thought with your experience, the Kiss principle would have been the card you played from the get go. I'm also curious what were the 40 items on the list, I don't trust what's been posted on the web cause salt isn't included in those lists, are you able to talk about that? So far Iv called all the departees, though my estimate on how long they would stay, I over estimated by a long shot. My money is on Michael next to go, "Faith" in its true context means "without doubt," and I've yet to meet a Christian or any believer for that matter that isn't full of doubt and fear. My money is still on Gena to be last person standing, her language and manner are grounded in the now and not focused in fears. Mike your body type, mindset and language seems to say your playing a losing hand, but as Hayfor pointed out "the editing," paints a Picasso.
@OutbackMike
@OutbackMike Год назад
‘Dude’. You make it sound like I wasn’t trying for eel from the get go. I was trying my ass off the whole time. You need to understand that you’re not watching Bear Grylls where everything is set up. In my location eels were simply not there or not biting until now.
@arkmstick3495
@arkmstick3495 Год назад
@@OutbackMike Sounds like 😁. Not at all, I guess I could have worded my statement better, I talk to myself far more than I talk to people so my apologies for triggering you. BTW I'd be more incline to listen to your survival insights, Bear Grylls is a fuckn idiot IMO. I know how the industry can paint a picture to make paradise look like hell and vice versa. I'm also fully aware of how frustrating fishing in Tasmania can be, I use to live not far from where you camped, about 30km NN-West as the crow flies. Was my play ground growing up as a teen and young adult. building cubbies, fishing, shooting was just what we did. It just seemed to me you over thought your strategy tis all. It seems a theme in the alone series. Not taking the piss of your skills bloke.
@melatomic
@melatomic Год назад
@@OutbackMike was this an edit issue, perhaps? Is this something you can comment about? From a viewers perspective, we didn't see you catch anything for 7 episodes, and then you came across the worm grail in episode 8. If you were trying for eel "from the get go", then why is it that most of your 1'st eel/meal time was devoted to a Boiled eel experience. Boiled eel is bad every where, every continent,... universally known. Boiled eel is bad.

@seanalexander9531
@seanalexander9531 Год назад
@Kevin Hart you may well have some good ideas and have managed to instigate rule changes, but why do you think you'll be excluded from a show because of that? Are there rules that exclude people with established knowledge? Also, is it 50 or 60?

@melatomic Год назад
@Kevin Hart yes Kev. Here we go. This is the sort of stuff that you need to focus and filter into a publication that can be for sale and will earn you some dollars. The Alone producers may never let you on the show because (a) you may be a convicted criminal, (b) you would not make for good tv because you would thrive (c) your attitude and psychological evaluation may not fit into the "acceptable" criteria, (d) perhaps all of the above. / Kev, do you know that Kevin Hart is all of 5"4? Also- can you imagine a moment where you could get some of you knowledge and wisdom down into a publication, and by-pass the whole tv thing.? It's not like you haven't had the time,...but perhaps you've needed some support.

Please don’t feel the need to have an excuse or reason for every fail. We all have them. In a way it takes away from the other contestants by not just saying they are doing better than you at getting food. It’s almost a form of toxic positivity to act as though you have an answer for everything. Inspire others by saying you are doing your best and failing but preserving. Hope to see you have success this week.
