Well, I found your latest video and end-up being watching all the videos. You are quite a nice humble human being Lydia. nice video. I really enjoyed it.
Hi, thanks for your video. When we enter Sri Lanka, do we need to show our return flight ticket at customs? I’m planning to arrive at Sri Lanka and to travel to India afterward, but I haven’t fixed the date yet.
Have you had any bad experiences in Sri Lanka? A friend of mine is travelling there with her family in a few days and is kinda worried about sexual assault, groping, etc. I know India is really terrible for women but I couldn’t really find out much about Sri Lanka.
I felt really safe in Sri Lanka and was alone for a lot of my time there. I'd say everywhere in the world there are risks. Take basic precautions and she should be fine. These things unfortunately happen everywhere but I had no experiences like this in Sri Lanka.
Hi :) I felt safe walking around on my own and getting public transport all around the country. It's really easy to meet other solo female travellers in hostels, especially if you in all female dorms.
Well, you went to the poorest and busiest area of Colombo (Pettah). Most of Colombo is not like that at all. It's mostly quiet suburbs (in terms of foot traffic) or tree-lined streets. And by the way, Pettah is a tiny area barely even 1km long, certainly not 10 like you said! Didn't you do any fact checking? Anyway, making Pettah comprise half your video's time of Colombo is pretty misleading. It's like going to a city in your country, and just hanging around the poorest neighborhood.
@@PckLyA hello there. This video isn’t claiming to be an expert on Colombo, Sri Lanka or anywhere else. I’m just sharing my experience of the city. I really enjoyed Pettah as you can tell from the video and I am sure many viewers will too :)
But as we find due to some reason very less youtubers has been abled to capture the beauty of Sri lanka's capital . If you haven't gone to those areas then it happen this way ony. Also its depend on your intention , what do you expect through the videography. Many tourists they never visit our political capital just near to Colombo, call Sri Jayawardhanapura kotte. Thanks for the video .
