Ohhhh, you came to my city 🤗. Yes, Strasbourg (especially under the sun) is a beautiful city, both cozy and full of history and unique places. I'm delighted that you liked it. Colmar is also very beautiful, that's true. It's funny to see you in areas that I know quite well and where I often go (La Petite France - Cathedral Square...). If you are still in the area, try the Tarte Flambées ["la normale", " la gratinée", "la champignons"] (nammed Flammekueche in Alsacien), typically with a local beer or a Pinot Noir (Alsace Pinot). But the best Tartes Flambées (Flammekueches) are often found in restaurants outside the city. For dessert... the cheesecake (a treat if well made), the blueberry tart, the kouglof... in any case, enjoy yourself and welcome to our region. Well done on your pronunciation.
I believe that for MOST of your followers, you're our best RU-vidr. You sacrifice your time to do content when you're always hectic and even maybe sometimes not in a good mood. You also sacrifice your time to do filming and mostly editing. If people are irritating, don't sacrifice your mood because they're never worth it! This is again an Appreciation gesture and to send you Positive Vibes, Danny :)
Dan. You are a very unique man. Not in a negative way but intriguing way. You have a somewhat delicate Ora, soothing voice and adventurous spirit. Your are curious about life which makes you very interesting. I hope you get what I am trying to say and describe. 😊. I enjoy your videos. I do not have Instagram sadly so I miss out on a lot I am told. 😊
I’m so sorry Dan that you ran into so many problems on your trip! Thank you for showing us all these beautiful cities. Hopefully you had a safe trip back home and can rest up!💤🌆
I love your videos your vibe is just very energetic. I enjoyed you traveling different countries, as the overall scenery is absolutely stunning. Keep making travel videos because they are entertaining to me. I found it kind of funny how you mentioned you were traveling alone. Let me tell you that being alone is one of he most wonderful experiences a person can have because I feel like you get to know yourself better when alone. So dont feel down when you are seeing other couples.❤
In Colmar, the tap water is considered extremely safe to drink, some would even argue it's cleaner than bottled water. Also, why, if an alternative room was unavailable, did the owners not offer you a reduction or a full refund? I hope you pursue them for this. Unacceptable! Danny, Take a chance and find a companion/lover/partner even if they are not perfect so you do not feel alone. Life goes by much faster than you maybe realise 😘
Yessss Danny ….we are not telling you to settle but keeping in mind there is no pefect person ❤ . hopefully close enough that you have much in common plus good conversation and chemistry ❤
I don’t know if the alternative room was available or not.. but anyway in the end they refunded me for the second night but nothing for the first night - which they said they will compensate when the guy came. I don’t think I want to look for someone just for the sake of being with someone. I like my life right now and it feels like I have so much on my plate already. But if someone pops up along the way, why not!
@@ThizisDanny i always have thought that out of billions of people on the planet no matter where they may live… When the time comes we will meet. So I have never worried myself.
Sorry for the rocky start, but I`m happy for you that you finally decided to do this Europe-tour, Danny. Love all the little details and for me I could`ve watched at least double longer. 👍😄 Your excitement is visible, but 14:02 - really felt that. 🤗 Next time it`s gonna be better and I`d be thrilled to see that you get to go with someone special and experience fully every possible romantic moment with them. No doubt you deserve it. 😊
Hi from USA, you have a good attitude when things don’t go well and are beyond your control. When you entered a new country, France/Germany, did any border patrol person ask for your passport? Thank you for sharing your travel experience, the flies are just attracted to you because you’re so sweet and handsome. Be well.
Colmar took me to the vintage era. It was so romantic, with a slow life, and charming. I like the way you covered the city's vibes. Thank you so much for the Vlog I was really waiting for it,. I bet it was tiring to travel to two countries in one day but I'm sure you enjoyed it.
Oh you where at my home! So happy to see that you enjoyed the cities, but sad for your AC problems. Hope you will give another chance to Colmar and maybe little villages on wine tour. If you come again, you can try during Christmas time, but it’s really full of tourists. Thank you for this video and thank you for just being you. Love the way you enjoy and share what you see with your soothing voice 😊
I came across this video by chance, and I think it's the first time I've ever seen a vlog about my city (Strasbourg) but it's so cool to see it from the perspective of someone else. I don't think there is a lot to do so I often wonder what people do when they come here expect admiring the local architecture but it reminds me of the beauty of my environment. If you feel like coming back here, you should come during the Christmas period - the Christmas market is really cool and the atmosphere is really different ! Anyway, I hope you had a great time, made good memories here and that people were kind !
I'm sorry to see that you canceled your wine tour.😔 For sure you as a wine expert were looking forward to this. But your decision is because of the circumstances absolutly understable! Having no AC right unter the roof 🤨🥵, no friendly service and all these aggressive bugs everywhere. No fun.+This flickering light so annoying😵💫 12:24h The food looks really good and the little house behind you is also like a movie scene.🤩 Nice to see that you visited Germany too. 😊 The bar/cafe was a good recommendation from your beautiful friend Alice.🙌 A wide and wonderful view compared with delicious wine and mango ice. 🤩 And yes. Spätzle plus a big beer are completly fullfilling.😂 Thank you for many impressions and new ideas.🙏🫶
Yes it was quite difficult. especially when I’m really weak to heat. I could have tried to enjoy a little more but I think I was worn out by the experience
What a coincidence! Today I just called the trip agency for a travel offer 2 Strasbourg! Wow! This is so cool I am gonna watch this with double interest! Thank you Dan!
Can't believe you came across the Korean lady that does painting in petite France. Whenever i walk in the area, I talk to her and she is nice and shown me her private little museum
Hello Dan, how are you?.. are you korea at the moment ?...how is your your wine bar coming along?.. do you think you can tell me %here it is bcz id would like to go there when I govthe korea.thanks à lot..take care...and you are right ,its more fun to go with someone..
Posted a link to this but don’t think it went through. This is when you should come back to Strasbourg- Salon des Vins des Vignerons Indépendants Strasbourg 14. - 17. March 2025 | French Wine Fair. It’s great, been the last four years. Glad you discovered this lovely area of France!
Nice locations 😊 strasbourg little town looks so wonderful peaceful 😊 water falls surroundings It's like a fairytale 😊 france Germany such a nice trip. 🤗 Mango sorbet ice cream 😋 creamy cheese food😊 The hotel room look like small apartment nice 😊 The street 'Howl's moving castle' animation location s👌 looks like movie .Even at 9:30pm it's like evening without getting dark, just like how it is at 6:30pm 😊 cafe location, dancing 🫶👌 Romantic like a movie 😍 Would you dance if you were not single and had a partner? 🤔 Thank you sharing this .🙏🏼🥰Those who are single just see nothing do it , we watch and enjoy.😊 🥰
What a pitty! You had to leave earlier; it's really really hot these days. You have been very closed to the Swiss boarder, next time consider visiting Basel too. Thank you for your tour vlog.
Ah the joy of traveling...you usually have very good luck when you're on the road 🛣️, but one thing you'll remember this, I enjoyed it though, thanks much 😊😊
Beautiful views and atmosphere. Too bad about the heat and broken air conditioner. I wonder how many others have put up with same excuse. Another great video, warts and all.
Judging by what I saw in the vlog you got some nice impressions of the 3 cities despite the inconveniences. It was funny to hear your surprise that you could cross into another country so easily. I suppose it is pretty unusual but for me it feels normal living in Switzerland as I do🙂
great travel video Dan! Next time your in europe or if you have time come to budapest, its the paris of the east dont forget! i am so glad i moved here from Canada!
Oh! So amazing! I really enjoy content like that, you walking, chatting, showing beautiful places❤ Maybe next time you'd visit my country, especially the region where I was living for a while? Is in Poland, called Trójmiasto (three cities as one, Gdynia, Gdansk and Sopot). Is situated near Baltic Sea, has very important historical places (second world war began, Westerplate was attacked), many beautiful streets and local food is amazing🫶 With train ride you can get to places like Malbork, which is famous for the biggest medieval castle in Europe. I highly recommend checking out that area. There is an airport and have good connections to other European cities. All Poland has so many amazing places like salt mines, many other castles, desert, crooked forest, moving dunes, cute mountain villages, and many many more, filled with history. I bet you can tell by now, I'm proud of my country and that's how polish people are🫶 we might look like we are cold and not welcoming with our face expressions but trust me, we'd me more than happy to help and show around 🤙
Oh and the hotel/air b n b should offer alternative accommodation or a substantial discount for your inconvenience. Honestly! 😊 I hope that have the integrity to fix your situation
I am planning a trip to Germany next year so this is giving me so much inspiration! I felt for you though Dan , not having the best experience when it’s hot and things go wrong and on your own, so brave ! I now live in Cape Town , South Africa and have an Airbnb , makes me angry when hosts don’t take care of their guests ! You’re welcome to come to my Airbnb if you want to experience Africa !
I would have been less upset if they were easy to reach and provide me when exactly they will fix the AC.. or offer a different room. But anyway all in the past!
Being hot sucks. Especially if they don't have ice. I'm from Las Vegas and when the AC went out in July and it's still 100 degrees farenheit at midnight, you can't sleep. I actually got my sheet wet and blew a fan under it to stay cooler. I really enjoyed seeing the town from Howl's Moving Castle. Thank you for that. It is hard to see you sad so I hope the rest of your trip goes better.
@@ThizisDanny Does Korea use ice then, like America? My Dad hated that he couldn't find any ice in Europe, but that was 10 years ago. Is it still like that? Consuming a lot of ice can definitely be hard on your teeth.
It's funny because you've actually made me rediscover the city where I've been living for several years! 😅When you live in a place, you don't take the time to visit it, you just have the constraints and rush of the daily routine. With your vlog you've made me realise again that, yes, Strasbourg is a very pretty city! And you've made me want to go back and walk around it in tourist mode haha! 😄 The same goes for Colmar, which is right next door but which I've never taken the time to visit! Thank you for your vlog! And I'm sorry that your time in Colmar didn't go so well... 😢 In summer it's very hot in Alsace, and yes, French people aren't the most reactive... 😓I hope you'll be able to come back to Alsace in better conditions! Maybe for the Christmas market, who knows? 😉
I have no clue how you showed up on my RU-vid, but i am happy, because i like the videos i have watched. You have a new subscriber. Enjoy your time and life as much as you can while being in Europe. Cheers.
I'm so sorry Danny that you had no air conditioner. I don't even see how you barely slept. I can't sleep when it is so hot. The dog poo, the air conditioner' the insect bite, not being able to participate because you were alone. 😢 Did your insect bite ever get better? I loved being able to see the cities and buildings and scenery in your video. It was really nice. I hope the next time you go that it will be a lot better for you. Loved being able to visit 2 countries like you said in the same day, in the same hour. Wow! Thanks Danny, for this video. Hope your insect bite is better and less painful.
Wow, I was near there and had the same fun going into a different country so easily and quickly. I don’t know why, but the air conditioning never worked. I wanted you to go see the people dancing. Women like to go with their friends. You could always break in, politely, for a dance. I’ve never seen this shy Dani. Oh. I felt badly.
I enjoit your video, It was funny🙈😁 gorgeous view, you seem to be such a good guy🫶so relax I travel alone too, is normal, make new friends here🫶Have a good day!
Last time you were about 3 hours from my home and now you are (or were) only 1h30 ! I follow you since 3 years! My home is in France (Alsace) only 10 mn from Basel (Switzerland) ! If you wan’t, maybe a day, I can show you a lot of nice places!
As a French, I'm so sorry for the problems you had to handle in France ! But so glad to see that you enjoyed your trip. The Alsace region is really beautiful. Next time don't miss the villages Riquewihr and Huwawihr😍 and the town Kaysersberg, so fairytale like. And if you go there in automn, the view on the vineyards is so beautiful (november). And there are wineshops everywhere. Offenburg is quite typical for a German town but if you like medieval cities : Rothenburg ob der Tauber. (best time : Christmas, christmasmarkets are not so commercial in Germany).
What would be fun is travelling with a local, who your friends with. They would know all the good places to see and visit. That german dish looked to be a play on poutine, but instead of fries they used noodles. Back in Korea for you, what it the latest it stays light out till? In Canada where I am it can stay light out till 10 pm.
If you ever visit Bucharest, please let me know, the city is beautiful and it is called The Little Paris because the buildings are similar even though some still need to be renovated.
Dan, sometimes it feels like the universe has a grudge against you. Just try to laugh it off and focus on what gives you joy, which I believe you are already well versed in doing.👏🏻 Btw, thanks for sharing your travels with us. Your persona is delightful and your videos are enjoyable.❤️
I admired your reaction at the shop I forgot the name 😅 one of my classmate was in Germany he studied there he did his graduation from Germany so he said alot about that place nd he also talked about those cute dances you saw on street danny ... Uk german people celebrate Christmas on 26 nd they celebrate it for a whole month I heard .... 😅Well he was saying in spanish so I couldn't capture all his words 😅😅😅😅 iam learning Spanish.... I hope you find your love nd lock your love lock too nd have a romantic dance with your partner my guardian angel 😇😇😇😇😇 love you 😘
Wow...loved your vlog. The cities were amazing and even though the AC didn't worked, I'm sure you will remember this trip with pleasure. Allow me to share with you my experience with bad accommodation in Turkiye 🤣When I was on a trip to Turkiye in November a few years ago, I stayed at a small hotel. The last day of the trip was a rainy day. That night, the water started to drip from the ceiling, to flow on the walls and not to mention that the heat from the AC was lost in the first 5 minutes because the balcony door did not close properly. So I had to turn off the AC so it wouldn't short circuit. 😂But now that I think about it, I laugh and remember the trip with pleasure. But naturally, next time I will be more careful when looking for accommodation 😆I consider that it is good to have this kind of experiences from time to time as it makes you appreciate things differently and focus on the good parts. ☺
that’s a horrible experience!!!!! even though it becomes memory I can only imagine how bad it was when it happened. I’m getting very very cautious with the accommodations after this trip 😂
I am glad you enjoyed your experience in these towns. Architecture is quite impressive isnt it. Yes how comes a good looking guy like you has no girl/boy friend? Happy travells. Cheers
Man so high in a house up and no AC (to be honest at least in Germany AC in private buildings are still pretty rare not sure about the rest of Europe) AND no insect net in front of the window THAT sucks to be honest! I’m so sorry for that! (I live right under the roof and the summers really are rough. Europe has some catching up to do in that aspect for sure!) Anyhow.. the nice thing about Europe is that everything is close. So you can really visit a ton of countries in a short time. I used to visit friends in Austria and Switzerland a lot! It was so much fun! Hope you also had lots of good memories! 🫶🏼
Usually in France or Germany there weren't enough days in the year that were so hot that it would justify buying an AC unit. But nowadays because of global warming, more and more people are buying some. As for insect nets, I don't see what's the use of it.
@@Leopold_van_Aubeli know our summers really getting hotter.. we also see now more earthquakes and Tornadoes although rare and pretty weak! Insect net was the „wrong word“ I means screen. And the use is to be able to open the windows when its hot without the mosquitoes coming in.. 😉
For some reason at 14:40 my eyes were kinda filled with tears 🥺 I'm sorry your trip was sort of a disaster and I'm also sorry it felt lonely (it felt lonely for me, idk if it felt the same for you) 😔 Sending you a big warm hug (it's a bit chilly now so warm hugs should be okay 🤭) and a heart lock so you can hang it there on that fence and feel happy ♡ I hope the next trip will be filled with laughter, air conditioned rooms, delicious food, tasty wines, great views and friends❣ Take care and... smile. It looks good on you ☺
I actually didn’t feel lonely although it seems like it on the video. I think I was more upset by things not going smoothly that I couldn’t really enjoy how I usually do. Not a pleasant way to start a journey …! but thank you so much :) learnt that having someone with me is actually more fun!
Side notes: Thought about your crossing the border by train. When we were hiking in the mountains, we crossed the border 🇩🇪🇦🇹 in the forest by feet. And on Lake Constance you can travel to three countries by ship in one day. Danny, you dealt with all the not-so-nice things so well. I admire that.🙌 And I don't think I've ever seen you laugh as beautifully in a video as you do in this one at 13:57. 🫶
@@ThizisDanny Happy for you. Your newest story: Danny, if you're tired, turn off your phone. At least for 15 minutes. Keep it as straightforward as possible and go somewhere quiet and close your eyes. I like places with a wide view. I asked you for recommendations for Jeju. You probably don't know anymore with all this stress, I know. In any case, I 've started to watch the #thizisjeju, your recommendation. These places by the sea are so relaxing...the wind, the sound of the waves...maybe you find time for it But playing the piano is the best to turn my thoughts off and calm me down.
Hi Dan, So sorry for the ac! My family is from Alsace!so I know pretty well Strasbourg and Colmar. They are indeed very nice places. Strasbourg has nice universities. So sorry you cancel your wine roast trip because wine from Alsace are one of the best! Neext time😢
@@ThizisDanny oh wait seriously? If you want tips or advice just let me know haha 🥳🫶🏻 i really love your videos and I hope I can go to Korea once too ✨
Oh look, Dan does Europe ! We will now see what he thinks of our land. It's good that you came in the summer and at a time when passports and border controls are no longer required. The one way streets are probably the fault of ecologist idiots and their policies of organising traffic... Actually surprised you have the A/C to break in your room, you just shouldn't have A/C at all ! It's Europe, we just die of heat here, unless you're rich CEO in a penthouse. Glad you have such a positive experience from your trip and you found yourself some movie-like moments .
Hi Dan, how wonderful they are beautiful and romantic places, in Europe there are fantastic places... like in Italy, when are you coming for a tour of Rome? Maybe in September or October when it's a little cooler because now we're above 40°, thank you for making videos of your trip, so those who can't travel, for various reasons, travel with you by watching your videos and you care company, it's absurd anyway that they don't respond and leave a customer without air conditioning, it's crazy hot and you risk feeling ill, and then I have to assist the customer, everything must be functional because he's paying to have a good service, your money goes to him you gave vouchers, if someone pays they must have the service, there is no way a customer will have an inconvenience, a problem or breakdown can happen but you, the owner, must intervene immediately to resolve it, also because otherwise they will get bad publicity and it will be to their detriment , thank you for making me travel and dream, thank you for your company , ciao Dan
@@ThizisDannyAhhh come on I'm happy, I can't wait how beautiful it is, impressions of Rome....it's wonderful right....but recently...it must have been hot as hell...I live... that is, my house is in Trastevere.
It's tough to film and moreover edit the video. Idk but even just watching your video i feel so hot too. Please buy a nice meal and some refreshing ice drinks for you.. it's a Thank You.. 감사합니다, 댄니씨 💝
I made an honest neutral review ( I usually only leave good ones and just skip the bad) But the place was nice … just disappointed how they dealt with the situation!
Thank you for showing us all 3 Fairytale cities. While I’m American I was born in Kassel & lived in Munster, Frankfort & a few other cities while my father was in the Army. The picturesque area you showed reminded me of what I remember in childhood. I am so sorry your trip was cut short because of the heat & the bad experience with the Air B&B, shame on them. As always, Danny, thank you for taking us along in your travels. ❤ PS: you will find that special someone when you least expect it.
Don’t worry. All of this is normal in Europe: things that don’t work, lost owners, stupid flies… In Paris you can get the wine tour too. Here, there and everywhere good things can happen. 괜찮아요!
Ooh... it's a sad episode 🥹 poor Danny.. 😢 well i did mention that it's so hot in the place you visited, but never thought there'll be so many flies even i thought my phone camera was dirty and wiped it many times. Apparently it's due to many flies... although you ate flies😂, but i don't like it 😭 Sweaty sweet Danny.. next visit will be much better, Danny! You have the experience and experience make you learn and improve things... alone is good but don't feel lonely. My best experience is with my mom and sisters. My kids too. Family is the best companion ever... forever!!! ☺️🥰❤❤❤ tell me... you've swallowed Korean fly. Did you eat German fly too when you have that pasta? 🤔🙈
Oh and the hotel/air b n b should offer alternative accommodation or a substantial discount for your inconvenience. Honestly! 😊 I hope that have the integrity to fix your situation
