This video is a compilation of two trips to the Pelton Line on 8th January 1997 and 31st August 1998 and shows quad 48s going to and returning from Pelton
Videos in the Along Closed Lines series were originally shot in 4 x 3 Standard Definition and have been upscaled to High Definition and reformatted to widescreen. They cover movements that can now no longer take place.

Great old footage. Then later the line was out of action for years. The 48's later returned to one their "regular" stomping grounds in quad and occasionally quin formats as I remember. After that some "driver only" PL class were re-deployed from Port Botany on Pelton jobs after mixed results as trial units as I remember?

I enjoyed that video, last time I was there was in the late 1970's, sadly, Sims Metal got most of the 48 class in the video with GrainCorp scoring a few also. Maybe you, or someone else, has video of the Ardglen Quarry line when it was operational? Would love to see that. Great job and thank you.
