Here is a recipe for Aloo Gosht, a Pakistani meat and potato curry
Ingredients:
- 1 kg mutton or beef, cut into small pieces
- ⁠1 cup oil or ghee
- 3 medium onions, diced
- 5-7 cloves
- 7-8 whole black peppers
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 1-2 tsp minced garlic
- 1-2 tsp minced ginger
- 1-2 tsp red chili powder
- ⅓ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 ½ tsp salt, or to taste
- 4 medium tomatoes, diced
- half kg potatoes, halved
- ½ tsp garam masala powder or black pepper
- handful of cilantro, chopped
- green chilies, diced
- lemon juice, for serving
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add whole spices and onions meat tomatoes , oil and cook them until meat turns tender
Cook until oil gets separate
Add potatoes and simmer for 15 minutes or until they are tender.
Garnish with garam masala powder, cilantro, green chilies and serve with a squeeze of lemon juice.
