Aloo Suji Donuts
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
3 medium potatoes
1 ½ cups Water
1 Onion, chopped
1 tbsp chopped Green chillies
1 tsp Mustard seeds
Salt to taste
1 tsp chili flakes
1 tbsp chopped ginger
1 tbsp Sesame seeds
2 tbsp coriander, chopped
1 cup Semolina (Suji)
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp pepper powder
Oil frying
Method:
Grate the potatoes.
In a pan, add the potatoes with the water.
Cook till the potatoes soften.
-Add onion, ginger, green chilli, mustard seeds, salt, red chilli flakes,sesame seeds, & mix well, cover & cook on medium flame for 5-6 minutes.
Add semolina & mix well.
On low flame fold the mixture & break all lumps with the back of spoon. Cook till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
Turn off the flame,add cooking oil, fresh coriander and mix well & let it cool.
Grease hands with oil & knead the mixture to a smooth dough.
With greased hands, take lemon sized quantity of the mixture make a ball & shape like a donut.
Heat 1” oil in a pan & shallow fry on medium flame from both sides until golden & crispy.
Serve with tomato ketchup.
