I’m the beginning of the video, your paddling it backwards. The cargo-fly goes towards the back and the stubbier part of the boat (the rocker) is the front.
Beautiful boat very sturdy. I'm always surprised how large Royce is....no little dog by any means. The only one falt I would have is if you needed to escape in a hurry 9 minutes to inflate the boat. But in the real world it is a great alternative to a hard heavy "real" boat to carry. Thanks for a great demonstration and for including that safety (emergency) pack in your conversation. ❤
Great in depth information about a versatile packraft. Is the seat attachment adjustable or able to attach further back to paddle solo to use tandem or solo? I like the multiple attachment d rings. Looking for a ultralight boat for fly fishing. This definitely on my short list.
Very nice review! I do have a phobia on sitting really low (jaws 1975..😮) same for kayaks. Would that seat be comfortable for a few hours of double blading?
looking forward to your review of the handling etc, and hope you will cover if you debated on the ranger instead of the forager for a single paddler, I am trying to make that decision now
Than you for your video. As an Ex-fisherman, sailor, and boat bum, ... there's no such thing as puncture resistant. BUT! I love those dry bags. I like the dinghy too BUT! Inflatables eh? I just don't trust them for too much besides for playing with, and drowning in. It was the bike that triggered me, ... too many opportunities for a puncture with that thing. Thank god I am no longer adventure oriented, .. just saying. BUT! Good luck to you eh? If you ever find yourself caught in a strong wind in the thing, don't fight it because you'll die trying. I've learned to go with the flow and I get there fast with the wind pushing me and even when it's not to where I was originally headed. In other words, if the wind is blowing you towards land, any land, take it and make camp until the wind dies down. You can do battle with the wind in an inflatable, .... but seriously, it isn't worth it. Don't ask me how I know. If the wind is blowing you towards open water and no land, ... I pray you have an anchor. Just another thing to puncture the inflatable with eh? Don't ask me how I know, ... OK, enough of my negativity! lol, .... Have a blast BUT! Get a patch kit for sure eh? Keep up the great fun and good luck.
Great tips! Much appreciated. I do have a small anchor as you described. I agree. No point in fighting the wind. Best to drift to shore and rest before the next adventure.
