I am just absolutely amazed on they were able to build this massive coaster on to the landscape. This is absolute engineering Genius on how they where able to this. This isn’t something you’re going be able to plop in the middle of a parking lot.
I can only imagine how intense the ride was when it ran like this. Last time I was at Busch Gardens, it was running extremely fast, so much so that I grayed out twice; in the loop and into the cobra roll. The MCBR was also less trimmed than normal, and the second half of the ride was so snappy that my head banged on the restraint in the corkscrew. I thought it was more intense than Raptor at Cedar Point. Also, I never realized that this ride originally had a B&M roar.
OMG the Brake Run!!! Thats incredible! Just look at the way it zooms right through it. Not an "UGH" to be heard! hahaha Great vid man! Thanks for posting this one!
The fact that this is a giant B&M inverted coaster and the only other one comparable to is Banshee, and maybe Katun...the size of this thing was in the 90s too!! Amazing how marvelous this was and still is when it came out at the time 😁
Wow this footage is honestly amazing, i wish that busch gardens would turn off those trims on the mid course, that could excel alpengeist to be the best invert in the world.
It was running some nylon wheels which is why it roars in this video. It's also why its running so fast. Today it most likely runs all polyurethane wheels.
@@dababytrunk2094 A quick google will tell you the maximum speed a free-falling object on Earth can physically reach if dropped from a height of 170 feet (the height of Alpengeist's first drop) is 70.8 mph. This takes into account no friction. See for yourself: www.angio.net/personal/climb/speed.html I'm not sure what kind of "proof" you have, but it's faulty in some way.
Wow, I wish I could have experienced Alpengeist like that! Could I please use the footage of the ride running through the mid-course for a review on the ride? I will be sure to provide full credit.
@@enderdragon1211 the trim brake at the top of the lift has always been there as it was installed during the coaster's construction but they never used it opening year.
