MrDrBatman 100% deserved that needling. The footage not shown here is how he berated the table with his bad beat cards for the entire night prior to this. If he wants to be an ass at the table, he has to take it as well.
Never thought I'd see the day where I look forward to a new Doug Polk video every day. Loving the content Doug and glad that you enjoying making these videos again.
Meh... Sure, I guess - maybe not in such a strong dose Not smooth at all, and I've just had enough of players who ruin the room whenever they get upset by something. If someone is in their 40's and hasn't learned how to handle their emotions without making an entire room uncomfortable, I just don't want to be around them... Annoying.
“I only needle people on RU-vid, where I can hide in my house” 😂 Persson is currently the most exciting player to watch in high stakes. Not for the needling, but his willingness to put in piles with or without a hand. Thanks for videos Doug. 👍
Doug, my man is on a roll with these polker hands content. It has been quite a while since I'm so excited to get notified when this channel gets a new video. Please continue to keep up the good work. We all love your humourous style of commentating and the insights you bring to the viewers. Just want to say Thank you, Doug!
I think there's a difference between trolling and being mean. MrDrBatman, while a f*g, had good intentions with his needling. Eric was clearly just trying to be a dick, probably becauase he's too socially illiterate to know the difference.
@@CanadianLoveKnot He did not ask Eric obviously but he never tried to give him the troll card either. Eric was mad about something batman never did to him. If batman asks your permission first and you say no that is literally the end of it bro. The other context is he is doing that as a joke which Eric did not know. Eric wrongly assumed he give those stupid cards to everyone without asking for permission and to intentionally upset them more which is why Eric is so angry. Batman will ask permission from a complete stranger to troll them which I do not think is cool anyway. He should do that to a friend like jungle man does to nik airball or Negreanu does to phil hellmuth and matusow. It is different coming from a friend. Eric was out of line and batman does no deserve the hate he gets for this but it was still really funny Eric gave him his own troll card.
Persson can be an overly abrasive ass sometimes but this time it was absolute pure karma. Mrdrbatman deserved to lose absolutely everything and then be tormented for it.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants You don't get the position he is putting them in. It is lose lose for whomever he is asking, also he didn't tell them exactly what they were before he gave one to ben after luckboxing and cracking his AA (which is what Persson is referencing). It would be like if I offered you a present, and when you opened it it was me fucking your wife/mother/sister. I offered it to you, why you mad bro? What fucking dumb logic, he deserved every bit of that shit. Go watch the original stream and look at the comments, basically everyone agrees. And while I'm not one for crowd sourcing information, when most of the internet agrees on a social issue it is usually the correct / moral one. What ignorant human garbage.
@@baileyayyy5085 If you asked me if you could troll me after you beat me I would have the option to tell you no and that would literally be the end of it. Batman's intention is a joke. Eric wrongly thought he gave those stupid cards to everyone without asking for permission to upset them on purpose which is why he was so angry. Karma would be batman not asking permission and not be joking and still giving those out. If you tell him no that is the end of it bro. I do not think it is cool or funny to ask a complete stranger if you can troll them after you win even as a joke. That is something that you do to a friend like jungle man does to airball. Daniel Negreanu love to do it to hellmuth and matusow but they are all friends.
Eric says/does a lot of stuff people don't like... but if you're handing out cards when you win a pot (like dude are you seriously 12 years old?) you deserve all the needling Eric gave plus some IMO.
Dr batman asks your permission to give you those stupid cards before he actually does. Eric did not know he asks permission. Players that troll each other for playing bad or getting unlucky are usually friends first or they come off like they can take it first. Negreanu loves to troll phil hellmuth but they are friends. Dr batman will ask permission from a complete stranger which is just not cool or funny.
Doug, thanks for the content - you are an energizer bunny rockstar these days! All the work and time you are putting in at the Lodge and also finding time to post these videos is amazing.
There's always 4 kinds of people at poker tables that constantly cause problems: Jerks, drunks, and idiots - and people who overreact to jerks, drunks and idiots.
Love the daily videos. I remember not far to the recent past you didn’t want to talk poker anymore, glad you changed your mind Doug. You make great content worth watching.
Dude Batman had that coming and the "welcome to the big leagues kid " was a perfect thing to say to someone who mocks players he beats and gives them a stupid note to rub it in. If you can't take it don't give it . Batman's a Clown ! I heard that he's now playing in a $5-$10 game now with Airball 😂.
This is getting what you dish out! Don’t like Eric much but he’s completely right! The card was a perfect touch and no Doug it wasn’t too much! It was well deserved those were the poker gods at it finest! Also side note can you Send me some free lodge or Doug Polk Merch 😅?
It was not ok because batman asks permission first. He does not give those stupid cards to people who tell him no first or people he has not asked yet.
Persson’s had enough poundings on stream. While it’s hilarious to see him punt, MrDrBatman is annoying and it’s also good poker justice when someone plays a hand like a total donk and is punished.
Batman asks permission first so no. If you asked me if you could do __________ when you beat me before we even play I would have told you no and that been the end of it. Eric treated him like he just does it to everyone without permission which if that is what he did he would of course deserve it. Eric was out of line but giving him that card was funny I must admit.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants Under most normal circumstances, I'd agree with you, but if somebody at a poker table asks you, "May I needle you?", it is a trap. If you say 'no', you mark yourself as overly sensitive and not a team player, and potentially invite MORE abuse than you would have received if you said 'yes'. Merely asking the question "may I needle you?" is rude, and the fact that he took the time to make all those cards reveal that he's the sort of person who deserved what he got.
@@iamamish I am not saying it is funny or cool what dr batman does because it isnt to me either. I am just pointing out the context is quite different from you asking my permission vs just doing it anyway without asking me. You have a valid point some might consider you overly sensitive and not a team player if you say no. Some people dont mind being trolled when they get unlucky or play bad. Jungle man loves to make fun of airball to his face when he does that.
One of my favorite hands ever- love how Eric stuck it to him for his super-crappy sportsmanship towards Ben, way to go, Eric! Sorry, not sorry. Getting stacked is no fun, no matter how rich you are, and the person stacking you should have some respect and couth not to add to the pain of the moment- totally uncalled for.
Yeah, "Batman" was being a douche earlier and Eric just threw some back at him and pointed that out. I'm with Eric all the way on this one; don't talk shit if you can't take shit.
Dr Batman asks permission to give you those stupid cards if he wins. He does not give them to people who say no. Eric watched him give some cards out without knowing he asks permission and it lead to this encounter. That is how the story was told.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants Bringing and handing the post it notes to the loser was insulting. GLAD Eric blasted back with his little notes. If your going to dish it out you better be able to take. Jerking around with Eric at the table was a big mistake. MrDr is just a rich winny Biootch IMHO LMAO
Honestly this hand inspires me. Poker isn't about being nice or even "making the right play", it's about sitting down and taking someone's money. The second a player forgets that, you can see the emotions on their face.
There was that famous hand in the full tilt million dollar heads up challenge where Marcello went all in for like 50k more against a 97k bet in a 300k+ pot with K9 and got Dwan to fold KQ on 36848 😄 that's the only hand with this concept I can remember
It sounds like Batman needles him first. And if that’s the case I wouldn’t really blame Perrson here. Clearly Batman can dish it out but can’t take it. Can’t respect that, if it indeed is the case
Eric did not know batman asks permission first before he gives out those stupid cards. Batman asking for your permission to troll you after he beats you when he doesnt even know you is still not cool.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants “hey I just beat you is one of the worst ways possible. I know you’re steaming right now, but can I give you a card that rubs that fact in your face?” That asshole had that coming to him. Watch the stream and the night before.
@@TLJ13 If you ask my permission to troll me after you beat me I would have the option to tell you no. Some players do not mind being trolled after they lose if a friend does it. Batman will ask a complete stranger for permission to troll them though which isnt cool.
Wait is this the same Eric Person who’s worth a half a billion dollars and also bluffed off more drawing dead than 99.5 percent of people will make in their lifetimes? God he’s so cool…
Oh come on man. I like Batman, but that was funny and you know it. I wouldn't do it either, but it's peak content. Poker needs this...in a lot of ways. I'd probably stick up for the homie too though. Appreciate you covering it, love the content.
Eric is the real anti hero - I love what he did after MrDrBatman was playing the big "I am" all stream with his needle card bullsh*t.. hats off to Eric.
Possibly the worst played hand in poker history. Every street played as badly as possible. What is the logic in that bluff? Do you think THIS ego player in this dynamic is gonna fold any value hand with those pot odds after you shove the river? He has no bluffs after he calls the turn for 50k and if he just had a weak ace he would check the river? He's not even folding AK, the only weak hand he value bets on that river, with those pot odds.
Sup Doug. Your ex-teammate Wyatt/Top is my good buddy, and I've always wanted to across you in the Team Speak server to meet you but never did. Your content lately is the best it's ever been. I ROFL'd at the end. Cheers mate.
Doug's all-in, as a bluff, might have worked if he had gone all-in immediately after Eric's 130k bet. Can't go into the tank and then represent pocket AA.
Probably one of the few hands I enjoyed by Eric. And he's needling was honest and right on point at the same rate. Don't dish out what you can't serve.
If only on Antonius's 2million pot against this donkey he replied with "give it. i'll take it all. now all his chips are mine. welcome to the big leagues kid. this is REAL MONEY."
