To get the drive fully in, you must turn the prop slightly, so the splines match into the coupler successfully. Never bolt them on, till the drive is all the way in. You can create damages to both splines.

I’m having some trouble getting the shift cable loosened due to it wanting to round off. I’ve applied minimal heat but no luck yet. Do you have any tips for getting it broke loose without anymore damage? Thanks again for the great content.
@@alanbrown3286 ok. So if its frozen cut the plastic cable end off close. And use a 9/16" 6 point deep socket to try to get it out. If not then you will need to drill the rest out and run a tap through to chase the threads.
@@alanbrown3286 the cable is steel so if you cut off the backside close you can use a punch to drive out the steel center part. Then the brass drills and taps easy
