@@arthurbelmonts Yes indeed the sequence of neuronal firings within different neural networks is how our consciousness is implemented, and a wild thing concerning the invention of brain computer interfaces is to think of that while we all may experience the same perceptions from the same sources, light, sound etc., how they're implemented in the topology of neural networks varies to different degrees, the small variations in the topology giving rise to the same perception is a result of neuroplasticity and makes the brain a lot less similar across sample sizes on the microscopic level, while at the macroscopic level giving rise the same behaviors and overall structure. This means making a one-size-fits-all brain computer interface can be extremely difficult and thus encoding the same stimulus/format to make you perceive something via a neural lace may be different and as difficult across samples with significant variation in the microscopic typology of neural networks. So while the same sensory information being inputted into our brains via sensory neurons, like light and sound will make us all generally perceive the same thing, if you're trying to format information via a brain computer interface to make a set of people perceive something, it can be extremely difficult. This is because a brain computer interface directly maps to central nervous system neurons and circumvents the sensory neurons. So you'd have to have slightly different formats across significantly different neuron topologies.

@@arthurbelmonts An easy analogy is to imagine a spectrum where on one side you have someone who had half for their brain removed as a baby and yet because of neuroplasticity the other half learned all the functions and can give rise to all the same perceptions that a full brain would and on the other side of the spectrum you have people who have, extraordinarily, the exact same brain topology down to the atom. The former would need a completely different set up/format for their brain computer interface while the latter could have the same exact type of brain computer interface

I believe consciousness as in the only part of us that exists in a higher dimension, since it's what lets us realize the infinite possibilities we have at our disposal. I mean our lives aren't 100% linear, imagination lets us find infinite solutions to a single problem. Life doesn't exist without a purpose, otherwise life wouldn't be so symbiotic and uplifting. People have pets because they uplift their emotional state, there's already a purpose there! Atoms are meant to form bonds, otherwise we wouldn't exist. The more I think about it the more I realize that the purpose to life is to explore our reality and understand it and each other on a deeper level 🙏
