Good morning everyone! I hope everyone's week went well and they have a great weekend planned! I decided to use the brand spanking new Shave Dad razor! It's made by Alpha Shaving and it's a copy of the Outlaw razor, but simplified slightly to cut production costs, and made out of aluminum. All in all I'm very happy with how these turned out! I also used the Collette Classic CC2 Citrus Basil Barbershop and some Clubman today... as per usual... Can't complain in the slightest.

This just in; RU-vid app uploads are capped by default at 1080p, and this will be the last video that I upload at that resolution. I’ve been trying to figure out why some of my videos upload in 4k and some don’t! It’s figured out now!

Great shave with a great razor! It shaves every bit as good as the Ti version.

It looks like the aluminum razors might be your thing now Jake! I still keep an aluminum razor in rotation just to get used to the weight, but I don't think I will budge! I did shave with the Aviation 94 and Citrus Basil Barbershop today and got a great shave as well, like an R41 shave. It didn't agree with me in the beginning and I cut myself a lot! It definitely isn't a beginner razor with a neutral blade exposure, but a 1mm blade gap. That Alpha Shaving razor looked very smooth and efficient. I was also thinking of trying one, especially now that they revamped it with better clamping. And I'm past the stigmatism with Chinese made products. The Apex stainless is one of them, but if a machine shop is good and produces a great product, it shouldn't matter where it's made. It's awesome you found a potential convert to wet shaving, but please educate him on the dangers of the rabbit hole 🤣 This can quickly become a money pit and I know all too well the lure of the shiny objects! That Aviation razor sounds like it can bite you but feels smooth at the same time! Those are always the most tricky because you get lulled into complacency and then boom! There goes your mole! I say pull the trigger on the Outlaw next time it comes in stock man, you'll like it! I couldn't agree more about coming around to Chinese made razors. After my experience with the Yaqi Tile, then the DSCosmetic brushes, and now the Apex and Outlaw... I haven't had anything "of quality" that I didn't like. Obviously the cheap and mass produced stuff is still there, but like you said, a good machine shop can make a good product no matter where they're located! You may be right about the aluminum! I do believe that the dream metal will be Ti for me now since that should bump the weights to the 60g range, which is a good middle ground. It just seems like over time, I've done nothing but get more and more used to the weight! Now SS feels strange! I'll make sure to inform him to steer clear of r/wicked_edge for a while lol and I'll also tell Al that you wished her a happy belated! Thanks Vaughn!
